I personally stopped watching the entire channel for the most part a while back, and from the looks of things several others did as well. I'm curious what reason others stopped watching Toonami or the channel if they did...

I don't like Horror/Gore genres so that is the major reason I stopped watching... just seemed like all the shows they kept getting were horror and/or very old.

The other shows that come on I guess adultswim seem to be really leaning towards the devilish area for my taste.. a lot of really crazy stuff and I don't get whats funny at all about Tim and Erik show or the mike tison show or pretty much any of the shows on that... I'm picky but damn that stuff is just out there for me i guess...I try to keep and open mind but I was raised in the south and just leaves a bad taste in my mouth after watching any of these shows.

Untimely casting time(way after you could watch it elsewhere),limited selection, and why watch it on toonami when their are so many better alternatives.

The fact that i only have internet now doesnt help them. xD
Also, the shows on there weren't very good or were too far back like they started showing one piece, even though i've already watched through it 4 times going on 5. I also generally prefer english subs. Depends on the show, ofc. DBZ HAS to be in English dub, same for fullmetal brotherhood, etc.

Idk. I never watch television. Why would I wanna wait for a specific time once a week to watch anime when I could watch those same anime any time I want at my own convenience?

I think its the rise of internet streaming. Overall it's been a pretty big blow to traditional cable. Plus with a much larger variety of anime available on the internet than there was in say...2001...it's pretty hard to compete. I personally haven't seen toonami since they brought it back. I don't really watch tv anymore, plus I'm not as big on staying up late as I used to be. I feel like I should make a point to do it sometime, if just for nostalgia's sake.

they cut their broadcast time way back. its mainly because who the hell wants to stay up till like 3am to watch an anime if they had an earlier show time it wouldnt be so bad

There are many things killing Toonami. One would be the time. I just don't care to stay up anymore to watch old anime. If it was on at an earlier time I probably would watch it. Second they are starting to put on more mature anime has of late. That means that Toonami is reaching for the older generation.

Thirdly they suffer from a lack of new shows. They just keep on playing the same shows over and over again. They need to spice it up.(They just added Kill la Kill. They need to add more new anime.)

4. It's a different generation. Think of all the shows that we used to watch as a kid and then compare it to the new stuff thats on cartoon network. Besides Toonami, I used to watch Beast Wars and Batman: The Animated Series. Those shows had lots of depth for kid shows. You had Mr. Freeze trying to save his wife, and the death of Dinobot. Compare this to shows like chowder and Uncle Grandpa.

But these are just my thoughts on the subject. Maybe I'm just old. Back in my day...........

Well everyone has already stated what is.

Pretty much they don't have good new shows. The old shows they have imo are hit or miss on being good ones.

They are on way too late.

Honestly imo Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and now Toonami, with it coming back, in general has gone to shit over the last like 5-10 years and needs a complete rehash. I can't see how the shows they have on there anyone of the proper age for viewing or otherwise are enjoyed... I mean have you seen some of the crap that is on there? It's awful compared to when I was a kid.

Not to mention it seems like it is the same 5 shows running all day/night on that station anymore...

Most of what they have is long-running battle shonen that is already on its 300+ episode. That doesn't get you NEW viewers, as you can't jump in at that point. I'm also not staying up until 4am for the 2nd consecutive bad dub in a row of AoT. They're picking shows that don't draw new viewers because of the length, and rerunning crap consecutively doesn't help.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-01-27/toonami-adjusted-schedule-cuts-attack-on-titan-cowboy-bebop-gits-space-dandy/.83774 I found this article link yesterday. As for Toonami, they're doing an average job so far. I'm glad they bought back from TV graveyard & all. But, they need to step their game up. Somebody said something about Kill La Kill coming to the network in two weeks & that's an start. The user is right in terms of most fans aren't staying up till 3am to watch anime. Shoot, I'd watch couple to few shows & get some sleep!

To me i dont mind the shows now.. If they could mix it up like put some new anime on..
Im not sure if anyone remember but back then its really great to watch toonami. They showed really good animes and it was convient for me to watch because it was right after school and youve finshed your homework..
My tv start at 9 i kinda dont care about it because i have directv... I know that some people stay up really late just to watch it and its kinda irritating.. I believe that the only problem toonami have is the shows and the time slot
