I don't mind tattoos. I have one and plan on getting more but they are on my back. I, personally, don't like having tattoos in certain places on my body but to each their own. My boyfriend has plenty of tattoos but they are on his back and chest. I see nothing wrong with it. I think it's a matter of personal taste.

They are not automatically a turn-on or turn-off for me. Personally, they aren't my cup of tea; which is not surprising as I am a generally reserved person. I also grew up at a different time than most of the people on here, so I have been a bit more influenced by the older negative connotations associated with tattoos.

However, one of the women that I am close with has her back done completely, going down her legs. When she showed it to me the first time all I could think of was how beautifully it complemented her personality. The art was very much a representation of who she was, and IMO she was more attractive for having them.

So I guess I would say that a tattoo that is original and says something unique about the bearer would generally be a turn-on for me.

If the person I liked had a few, I'd be fine with it. But, if they covered their entire body in them, that'd be a completely different story. I actually wouldn't know how to respond to it...

You would turn down the possibility of an ever lasting, beautiful, life changing relationship merely because of tattoos? I envy your ignorance, perhaps the one you find with tattoos will be the one who will also shift your perspective.

Image is overrated.

That kinda doesn't seem fair to the person with the tattoos.

To each their own. I'm not going to put someone down for their preference. Honestly, if they aren't into tattoos, and refuse to date someone with them, I don't mind. I got one, and I don't really want to date them either. But there's sure to be a likeminded person for them, and a likeminded person for me.

Love's not fair. Nor is life. We have to get over this notion that everything must match our individual ideas of fair.

I would date a guy with tattoos. I personally don't have tattoos though, nor do I want one.

I have the Straw Hat's jolly roger tattooed on my left wrist. It should have only taken 45 minutes to get done, but I kept passing out and ended up taking an hour an half

I have one tattoo at the moment but I'm eager to get more once I decide on exactly what I want.

Would I not date someone because they had tattoos? Hmm... honestly, yes and no. I have no issues at all with tattoos in general but if the tattoos are excessive or are simply in what I personally feel is "too much," then I would have to say that it would give me pause. The same goes for some piercings or other body mods. It's not a question of me making a value judgement of a person as anyone can do whatever they want with their own body, but there are some things I just don't find attractive and odds are I'm not going to date someone who I don't find attractive.

I have tats and never had anyone judge me on them at least as far as i could tell lmao. had friends get denied jobs because of tattoos though. I always say its important to get a tattoo with meaning and to get a good artist even if it costs more. better than having to get a coverup later.
