I don't particularly care for that overrated anime, but you're absolutely right. Taiga pales in comparison to Ami, who was clearly the best choice.

Oh hell no! Yeah, Taiga was the first to come to mind. But the correct choice isn't Ami, it's Minorin!

To me its almost all tsundere. If you can develop a character who is tsundere and I actually like her personality, that is an accomplishment. The few I do like actually have legitimate reasons to be cold to the MC. For example, Rin Tohsaka (At least from UBW) is cold towards the MC since she pretty much has to babysit him through the situation and he is more or less a liability. That makes her believable and honestly I probably would have acted similarly if I was in her shoes.

I guess i'll answer the thread with this bitch.

Did we get a reason as to why the main character started liking her other than that they spent time together? What did he like about her? Her violence? Is he a masochist? A lolicon? I don't get it.
It's unrealistic to me that anyone in real life would like someone with her personality traits. Yeah, this is anime with 2 dimensional characters, but still...

And don't come with that ''she had a hard past'' bullshit

Louise from Familiar of Zero is pretty bad.

To be bluntly honest you can say this about basically any lead female character voiced by Rie Kugimiya in a romcom.

Louise, Shana, Nagi, Taiga, Astarotte, etc.

If its Rie Kugimiya, its going to be a shrieking immature bundle of violence and it will always win out over a secondary and vastly preferable / sensible female cast member.

Either one of them is better than Taiga...Though I still prefer Ami overall.

Couldn't think of any off hand, but then someone posted Senjōgahara and something inside of me clicked, so i'll agree with that!

If she's not technically a tsundere, then again, I can't think of anyone off hand.

There are a few where I technically don't know if they end up with the tsundere because the show didn't end, but I assume they will.

Louise from Zero no Tsukaima.

I found her to be a brat for the first three seasons of the anime. She only started to be okay in season four, but by then I had given up. If I were Saito I would have gotten with any of the other girls.

Narusegawa Naru was also one who I couldn't understand why he would choose her.

Choosing Naru makes no sense in the anime, but it makes a ton of sense in the manga. So much more happens there that Naru eventually becomes likable (... though I still think Keitaro could have picked Motoko or Mutsumi and done quite well for himself).

Well, there's the main love interest. Can ignore all other advances.

if its a harem it goes with that and i then don even bother watching it unless it isnt a tsundere or airhead sweet girl who eats alot

Well, Asuka, I suppose. Especially in the End of Evangelion.

Of course, there's not really a normal, mentally healthy pairing for Shinji. That really was the best he could do lol

what??? She never go to the "Dere" part....

I'll never understand why people call Asuka a tsundere....

but she never crosses over from tsun to dere... for one to be considered tsundere, there needs to be both parts.

I'd argue that she had both parts, but the events of the series never gave her the chance to express her... nicer side I guess would be the correct term?
