Oh, they are scientists now? Let's not forget who provoked the Dark Ages.

What you're referring to came about during it. It was the collapse of the Western Roman Empire that sparked the Dark Ages.

So the church didn't burn intelligent people and accuse them of witchcraft? Maybe I'm using the Dark Ages loosely here. Are you into history? I wouldn't mind if you summarized it to me.

The church certainly did nasty things, but you had specified that the church caused the Dark Ages, which it didn't do. Yes, I am into history, but I dabble more than anything.

Basically, what happened was; Ancient Rome fell for still-dubious reasons, and chaos ensued. Ancient Rome was essentially the center of Europe's world at the time, so the collapse put everyone in the dark (pun intended). People were freaking out. It was during the chaos that the church began to rise into power, as people are prone to clinging to any semblance of order in times of crisis (after a while, anyway). Then, the church's higher ups became addicted to their new-found power, and made sure to secure their positions, such as burning books. At the same time, Islam also took advantage of the void left by Ancient Rome, and began expanding their empire. Eventually, the Crusades occurred, with the church leading the fight to staunch and drive off the invasions, further securing the church's hold. The rest is history. If you want further details, please research on your own.

That's a good summary. Thanks. Some parts of history are interesting to discuss. Ages were often named after technological advancement weren't they? Bronze, Iron, etc. Dark means unknown, absence of knowledge. Yes, the trigger of that age was way out of my league. What I had in mind was what led it on.

Main reason they're futsing with this is because homosexual couples want to be able to have their own genetic kids. Sooooo there ya go.

Not quite sure what you're saying why not to. I was explaining why they were doing it only.

One thing for sure, the three-way fights on the Maury show will be absolutely EPIC!

except its mitochondrial DNA they're adding so it would be more like

"You are NOT the mother!"

You make a good point, though mother doesn't rightly fit either. In a three-person arrangement there won't be any question of who the mother is, since she'll actually be carrying the baby, and unfortunately:

"You are NOT the mitochondrial genome donor"

doesn't quite roll off the tongue smoothly.

Of course, one could have a situation where the mother was uncertain if you had a man donating sperm, a woman providing an egg and a second woman providing mitochondrial DNA, fertilizing in vitro and the embryo being implanted into a third woman acting as a gestational surrogate, but now you have FOUR people involved. The chaotic four-way Maury show melee that could unfold would be a sight to behold.

I take it you never watched Vandread? In Vandread two girls have a kid. I was only pointing out there are other ways to produce humans without needing a male mate.
