Are there any anime that you considered good, but won't watch a second time because it's like depressing to go through it again or perhaps you don't wanna ruin it for yourself by watching it too much?

One of those for me is Little Busters! and Sword Art Online. Fun and lively anime until it goes into the second season. Both of them broke me a little inside lol.

AnoHana. As much as I adored the story and the characters, I think I'd just be bored a second time around. Lovely show all together, but it's a one time shocker. I was gonna say Your Lie in April, but I can't kid myself. I'm obsessed with the show and I'll watch it hundreds of times.

On that note, I've only seen Code Geass once, and that's all I needed. Same with Elfen Lied

If I watch anime more than once, I won't have the time to watch new stuff. So I don't.

Same. Sometimes I try watching an anime twice but then give up after an episode or two because I realize it's stupid.

studio guibli movies, such as Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. They're good, but i don't like re-watching movies.

there's parts of Gintama I probably wouldn't rewatch. Like Okita Mitsuba's arc. That was really painful to watch and I got unusually emotional over it.

other than that, i typically don't make an effort to rewatch a series even if i really like it, but if i'm showing it to someone else or it's just randomly on somewhere, chances are I"ll sit and watch it again.

I never watch anything a second time, and I don't understand people that do. Like, do you forget the stuff that happens? I can understand that people watch scenes over and over if the scene itself holds entertainment value, but to watch all that stuff in between...? Isn't it just information getting repeated?

Isn't it better to spend that time watching a new anime? I really don't understand this...and so many people do it :/

Ive actually tried to watch some of my favorite anime for the second time, but i always seem to quit before i finnish the first episode because, well, i know what's going to happen?

Here are reasons why I do watch anime a second time:
1.) I've seen it online and they're now streaming it on TV (basically [adult swim]/Toonami).
2.) I've watched the sub online and now they're showing it in dub form.
3.) Reruns of a series that plays on TV.

I like supporting anime on TV, because as much as I like having a lot of choice online, when it's on TV, it's considered more "important" in a way.

So examples of anime I've seen more than once because of some of these reasons: Inuyasha, Code Geass, Death Note, SAO, AOT, FLCL, Yu Yu Hakusho (and I guess if you want to count Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, stuff like that), and probably some more I can't think of at the moment.

Kind of a fun fact: I never read books a second time (unless I happen to have to read it again for a class or something).
