I never watch anything a second time, and I don't understand people that do. Like, do you forget the stuff that happens? I can understand that people watch scenes over and over if the scene itself holds entertainment value, but to watch all that stuff in between...? Isn't it just information getting repeated?

Isn't it better to spend that time watching a new anime? I really don't understand this...and so many people do it :/

Ive actually tried to watch some of my favorite anime for the second time, but i always seem to quit before i finnish the first episode because, well, i know what's going to happen?

I am with you i all most never rematch anime and if i do its years later or if its a good Ep that i want to watch again from whatever reason. I think its really pointless most of the time tho because you already know whats going to happen.

If its good enough to rewatch, it gets rewatched. If not, it's typically just some cheap entertainment. If it's not worth getting through, I MIGHT try it again, but it rarely pans out

Are there any anime that you considered good, but won't watch a second time because it's like depressing to go through it again or perhaps you don't wanna ruin it for yourself by watching it too much?

One of those for me is Little Busters! and Sword Art Online. Fun and lively anime until it goes into the second season. Both of them broke me a little inside lol.

Why did Little Busters! break you?

As far as SAO goes, I don't know how anyone can take those crazy rapeface villains seriously. They are like stereotypical villains to the point that the show becomes a joke.

For me I suppose it would be Bokurano. That show is just depressing. It has a very nihilistic message. Seeing those kids just die one by one forced to be 'heroes' having to leave behind the people that love them just because God is trying to make room on his universal hard drive.

I don't think my heart could handle watching Yuuki Yuuna is a hero for a 2nd time.

I do.

I will watch the anime I love over and over again.

And you won't stop me. :)

See, personally, I don't tend to care all that much about plot. Good shows are good shows because of the journey, not the destination. I love good story telling and especially great characters and character development. As such, I don't care if I know what happens. In fact, I often prefer it. I find that suspense often just makes me anxious, and distracts me from the things that I want to pay attention to: the details of a scene, how the character interactions are playing out, how the tidbits that are being dropped now relate to things that have already been said (or are yet to be said), etc.

So, I watch, read, or play almost everything I really like multiple times. And if it is a good story told really well, I'll usually enjoy it more the second time through than the first.

I think the only exception, for me, are things that had an unhappy or bittersweet ending. I tend to want my fiction to be happy--I get enough tragedy by reading history. So there are a few shows that I've largely enjoyed, but didn't really like the ending, and so will never watch again as a result. Although I'm pretty selective about the anime I watch, and try to avoid shows where I know that will happen,

Ok, it did have a happy ending, but enduring it was hard for me lol. The blonde girl REALLY was a dick move from the producers. Angel Beats was depressing too, but it didn't hit me as hard as Little Busters, despite the show having more events that should've crushed me.

Lol I'm taking my chance on DRRR... so far I realized that I do remember most of what happened even though it's been a good 4 or 5 years. If I don't remember what happened, that just shows to me that I wasn't into the anime

Is DRRR any good? A buddy of mine invited me to watch with him. Although, it's the dubbed version, but since one of my favorite voice actors is in it, I thought I would watch it. Not sure if subbed would work out better for me. Thoughts?

It's actually kind of funny, because I've only watched the first season in dub. I liked the voices a lot actually. So far watching season 2 in sub hasn't made me think I miss or hate the dub voices, so I actually don't mind dub or sub with this one. I actually can't wait until they dub this season, but I hope it's with the original voices!

And this anime might seem like the most random thing ever (which it kind of is), but it's also really deep. Like if you've seen FLCL (Fooly Cooly) before, you'll like this. I admit I'm not a huge fan of this animation style, but the story line is crazy and hilarious.

Is that so? Hmm. In that case, maybe I should take the offer, haha. He told me Johnny Yong Bosch was in it, and since he is my favorite voice actor, why wouldn't I take the chance to watch it? Haha.
