ISIS Beheads Second Japanese Hostage
Posted 1/31/15 , edited 1/31/15
The second hostage taken by ISIS 47 year Kenji Goto was beheaded by Islamic State militant group, as revealed by a video released Saturday.

He was the second Japanese hostage taken by the group, after he went to Syria in October.

Again, it doesnt matter what country these hostages come from. It only matter that this group is beyond evil and needs to be stopped, at whatever measures that may be.

Not surprised at all. Even if there had been a deal made to save him I wouldn't trust them to keep their end of it. They just aren't trustworthy. I don't know of any of their hostages who have lived so far. If someone can name one I would be interested.

Would be nice if Jordan kept to its threats to kill all of their ISIS prisoners if their pilot is dead.

Not surprised at all...Good that Japan didn't give in, yet sad that someone innocent had to lose their life. Still...Avoid those countries! Don't go looking for trouble.

If I was to say it, "It is war to the Knife", play the El Degüello and play it loudly.

They seem like amateurs to me and at this point, probably have no real plan than to draw attention

I just can't even imagine what the feeling is right before you're beheaded... That's one of the ways to die that I'm most afraid of. But outsiders just need permanently avoid that area so something can be done about this. I just wish you could gather them all in one place and just drop an atomic bomb. ISIS are a pitiful excuse for human beings.

Even if Japan gave them the 200 million they requested the only difference would have been ISIS would be 200 million richer. They would have probably executed both prisoners at the same time if they received the money.

Seriously, people and journalist need to stay out of that area. Go photograph koalas or something instead of trying to film the ongoing conflict over there. If people still go despite the risks and get captured, there should be no room for negotiation with these terrorists. Every ISIS prisoner we have needs to be publicly and brutally executed . It's these radicals like ISIS that make people hate Islam as a whole. The people over there need to do their part and not cave in to their demands, join their group, hide members of ISIS or fund them either.

Italy paid a 9m euro ransom for two Italian women who were promptly released. They need the money to help further fund there shit. This is also why Italy was frowned upon by the international community following it.

This is incredibly dangerous close-minded thinking that's got America into the sort of foreign bullshit that exacerbates these issues.

So do you support journalist going over there and expecting we bail them out when they get captured? Hell no. And it's only natural to want to kill criminals that killed our people. Do I support our involvement over there? No, but these terrorist will only grow into a larger problem if they are not exterminated. I would rather have our resources and taxes spent on education and science but that obviously isn't going to happen.

Anyways, to each his own on topics on these. I'm not going to debate others.

Japan was screwed in this situation here. Their military, by constitution, can only be used for defensive purposes and they signed an agreement at a summit to not pay money to terrorist affiliated groups.

That last comment genuinely made me laugh... I'm out of this thread though.

The sniveling, monstrous cowards hiding behind those black masks have no intention of letting go of any hostages they take. Pay them and they'll just want more and more, changing the terms as they see fit to try to maximize profit to keep funding their rampages. There was nothing Abe and his government could realistically do, given the ludicrous demands. I feel terrible for the victim's families and hope that at some point, the ones that committed this barbarism get the kind of slow, painful deaths they so richly deserve.
