So I was watching all the Superbowl 2015 ads and I came across one about Mophie. I thought the ad itself was quite funny and since I know a lot of people would react in some way similar, although not to such extreme as the ad, when their phone is almost dead and they're nowhere near an outlet to charge their phone.

I usually keep my phone charged to 100% before I leave the house or go anywhere. But if my phone happens to be near its dead battery point, I would freak out for a bit and look around for and outlet to charge my phone if I'm at my friends house or I stop using it and keep it in my pocket so I can keep it on until I get home.

So how do you guys react if your phone is almost dead and nowhere near an outlet to charge? Be it in the middle of something important or not.

I use my phone for calls and the occasional text. Nothing of value will be lost if it had to be turned off for a few hours.

i still wait for a charger to be around and charge it... :p

my phone has died many times out in the fields, and never once have I truly missed anything of world ending importance.

I always have a charger on hand, so it's not a problem.

On the miracle i dont have my charger with me, I either borrow someone else's or I figure this out at 50% and i reserve the rest for family text/calls or emergency uses.

But i have a car charger, a portable hand charger, and then the wall charger for my phone so it's highly unlikely i'll be without one.

Typically airplane mode. If the my phone's battery is draining unusually fast, it's almost because the connection to the cell tower is crap. Sometimes, turning mobile data is also fine.

This happen to me many times the past year because my phone was about 4/5 years old so the battery life on it was crap. I would text my husband to let him know "hey phone is about to die so if you try call or text me I won't get it." That way he would know I'm ok and if my parents call him asking why I'm not picking up the phone they would know why. Luckily this does not happen to me anymore now that I got myself a new phone.

Use it less and hope I get home before it dies.
