I have been curious on this one for a while. How easy or hard is it for Crunchyroll to obtain the rights to broadcast/simulcast certain animes? I know we do not have everything, though it would be really nice because i enjoy streaming through Crunchy.

Is there anything Crunchyroll users can do to help the process?

I would like to see the rest of Fairy Tail 1 released so i can actually finish it here. Same for shows like Legendz, and many more that folks probably want to see on here. Yes there are other sites i can stream content Crunchy doesn't have, but i pay for this yearly and Crunchy makes it very easy to get into new shows.

probably hard because they have rival competitions like funimation.

As far as Fairy Tail is concerned the episodes not on CR are NA exclusives to Funimation at the moment. licensing contracts are a lot different now, and you won';t see anyone have a perpetual license anymore. (More money to potentially be made that way)

"Crunchyroll’s goal is to make worldwide content more accessible. We’ve initially focused on Anime and are close to bringing all of the Anime coming out of Japan to the rest of the world. We want users to be able to watch everything, so we focus on licensing all Anime titles that are broadcast on air. Today, 4 out of 5 anime titles broadcast on TV in Japan are streamed to our audience within minutes of broadcast with subtitles on our service."

"The revenue generated from ads and subscription is shared back with license holders in an equitable way, based on viewership. Crunchyroll keeps a percentage to cover costs and operations and from there we generate a profit as well."

I propose ad titles (company names etc..something small) above avi/pics to generate revenue from ads focusing on visibility. With ad block messing with revenue. I see it as an alternative.

While I am not so well versed in HTML and coding yet to know them, there are actually ways (which crunchyroll could and probably should) be using to force a video not to load if any form of ad-block is enabled. Since their ads are their revenue, it would make sense to make having ads visible be a prerequisite to viewing videos here. If you don't want to support the site through ads, support by getting a premium account.
