I just re-read the article, I misunderstood the first reading, thinking it was Medina who charged in with a sword, and not the other guy who charged in. Sounds like self-defense.

There is another guy with a small connection to Power Rangers that committed a heinous murder, and it was premeditated. Link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Thomas_and_Jackie_Hawks

Skylar Julius Deleon (born John Julius Jacobson, Jr.[7][8]) is an American former child actor.[9] The son of John Jacobson, Sr., a violent convicted drug dealer[citation needed], and Lynette Birchette, a drug-addicted teenage runaway who had been abused as a child[citation needed], Deleon began acting in small parts in commercials as a child. At age 14, he appeared in the series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as an uncredited extra in the episode "Second Chance".

It goes on

Authorities alleged that during a sea trial in Newport Beach Harbor a few days after meeting the Hawkses, Deleon and his accomplices — Alonso Machain and John Kennedy — bound and gagged the couple and threw them overboard, tied to the yacht's anchor.[5][14] Deleon allegedly masterminded the plan to kill the couple for financial gain and enlisted Kennedy (who once served time for attempted murder) and Machain to help.[6][15][16]

It got stranger, apparently Deleon is a transgendered woman, and the crime was committed to raise money to get a sex change and pay off some kind of debt to a drug dealer.

This one is not for the squeamish, do not click if you find discussion about bodily anatomy offensive.

Defense lawyers claimed that Deleon's need for money to finance a sex-change operation was the motivation for the Hawks' murders.[20]

If the one guy forced his way into the other guy's bedroom then yeah he should get stabbed. His own damn fault for forcing his way into somewhere he doesn't belong.

Woman, you ain't kidding. I read the article yesterday & thought to myself "really".

XD Glad we can agree on something!

No problem! I wasn't going to disagree with you. It seems that each time a person who plays or played on Power Rangers, he or she end up in the news for negative reasons.

There is probably more to the story, but I can't say if it's anything that would make the suspension justified.

Jesus, this is worse then fox news (T.T)

It is Polygon, Fox News at the other end of the political spectrum. Also more click baity. It seem school administrators have lost any concept of reasonableness and proportionality in favor of the one size fits all punishment regime that is zero tolerance.

According to the sheriff's deputies, Sutter had forced his way into Medina's bedroom, where Medina and his girlfriend were, during the altercation Saturday afternoon. Medina then allegedly stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen with a sword he kept next to the door. Medina called 911 at about 3:50 p.m., and the detectives interviewed him at their Palmdale Station. He is now in jail with a US$1 million bail.

This makes it sound like a fairly cut and dry case of self-defense, wonder why they would charge him with murder, it seems clearly not premeditated from what this says.

Some people just like to bash on Fox News. That may not be the case here, but I find it often is. I rarely watch Fox News (I guess I sometimes watch linked to videos, but I just have broadcast TV) but that but I have a serious mistrust of television news and much prefer stories I can at least choose to easily investigate.

As for the story itself it definitely feels like something was left out; with what we have now it definitely doesn't add up.
