I like that Ushio has this passion for art. Fighting isn't something he cares a lot about, it's just something he happens to be decent at...or calls upon himself because he can't leave things alone. I know this is an older manga, but it's sort of nice to have a shounen protagonist in a show like this whose passion isn't fighting. Liking art goes against the stereotype you might try to fit him with given his appearance and the show.

Yeah, me too! Everyone else keeps trying to push him into sports. I can understand why they want to, given Ushio's natural ability, but I hope he continues to work on his art! (It's probably a good thing that he has a more relaxed hobby---he can unwind after fighting youkai.)

Another good episode. There were still some awesome humor and light-hearted parts, but a slightly darker main story as well. That was one weird painting for sure. Also loved Tora's reactions to Ushio's fight with the upperclassman and his diving into the painting.

I wonder how long it will take Ushio's father to figure out he opened the basement door

ep 3

Whoa, thought Ushio killed Reiko there for a second.

Tora is too funny, but in a way he cares about Ushio. Even if he threatens to kill him one day, it will come to a point where he won't be able to anymore because of the bonds he built with him.

That will probably end up being the case.

All great friendships start with two guys wanting to kill the crap out of each other.

This was one of the most AMAZING manga stories I have read. I really hope the entire story gets animated! It would be a terrific ride - action, horror, humor and some really touching moments. This needs to happen!

Episode 4

Those guys should have listened and kept the lid on that thing. Well, that was a pretty interesting development. Tora is so confused about the city his reaction is pretty funny to see him reacting to all of those things. After all, the place has changed so much in 500 years that it's no wonder he's totally clueless. But the matter at hand is that Inoue has Hizaki Mikado in her, and that means those demons are after her, so it's up to Ushio to take care of business. In the end, it was Tora who saved the day, again motivated by not wanting anybody else to eat his prey. It just goes to show how funny Tora is not knowing what the world is like today.

Episode 4

Well I learned something this episode. Don't ever mess with Tora's food.

I loved the way he destroyed those youkai though. And it's nice to see Tora in action too.
One interesting to notice is that Mayuko is able to see Tora. Loved that little bickering at the end. It's so classic of Ushio and Tora lol

If she really is the reincarnation of that psychic as the episode implied, that's no surprise. I'm glad Mayuko offered Tora a hamburger, though---the poor guy deserves to eat something. Hopefully he'll learn to like them!

Meanwhile, Ushio's dad ran off somewhere. I'm guessing he ran to get help.

She did see him in the first episode and before that he did say he was going to stop hiding...
Now let us add in the Rock Eater episode when she saw Ushio's hair and had no clue whom it was, and this is starting to sound like a possible Prince Charming type of secondary arc.

With the name of the next episode, I'm thinking so too.

Tora rage quit Frogger. XD
Was hilarious watching him fail to cope with 500 years of change.

Good, enjoyable episode overall.
