My parents are racist. No question about it. They're racist against anyone that isn't Chinese. But no, I don't argue with my parents about racism. I just straight up tell them they're idiot racists every time they ridicule an ethnic group or bring up a stupid stereotype and that's that. It's also the way they were raised and where they were raised though, that made them the way they are. Being raised in an environment surrounded by your own ethnic group tends to create a "I'm better than everyone else" mentality.

I do, but not with my parents, with my professor. My statement is: racism is not really common nowadays. African Americans - people who are exposed to racism, just come up with their own problems and infringement. I read about cases where African Americans complain that they are victims of racism, when other people greet with them and smiled to them. They think that they do not smile and laugh with them. They do not know what is best, essay writing service reviews I've read (http://britishessaywriter.net/the-best-essay-writing-service-in-the-uk/) write that nowadays Caucasian ethnicity experiencing more trouble, trying to be more polite to African Americans and good-natured than to others.

My dad makes racist jokes a lot, and when I tell him it's offensive he yells at me for being a "social justice warrior". That's not even being a warrior that's just telling you that you're fuckin mean.

Back than I used to have co-worker who is black, and one of my family member is dating one.. Its just never occur to me.. I see them like everyone else. When I think about it.. I was like wow I didn't even noticed it..

One time a guy was asking me if I seen someone walk down the ally, I told him yes and described what he look alike but I didn't tell him he was Black.. Than this guy came back asking me why didn't I tell him he was Black.. I told him that'll be racist, have you ever hear anyone say White male? No, when it is White male, they never even ask what color he is.. (Like Indian, Black, Mexican etc) Of course that being smart ass. :p

Just in case you all wondering I'm White and Deaf! =0

Growing up with my Father.. Of course he is racist big time, alway make fun of everyone.. And I thought they were what he told me till I meet them and realized they're just like everyone else. Seriously this Racist gotta stop.. We're not in 1950 Anymore.

Have you noticed Cowboy and Indian no longer have issue with each other, they let past go.. And we don't even think about them because while growing up we never hear any complains about Indian.. -shrugs-

Have you ever seen Smoke Signals?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoke_Signals_(film)

Really, it's worth a watch. Completely off topic.

I had to check it out to see the picture on dvd http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120321/

Wow, haven't seen that movie for looong time. I don't think I ever finished watching that film.. I do remember the big dude seem to get mad on the bus when White guy asking them a question I think. The other one like to tell story about them.

Btw its on Netflix on steaming. I'm gonna go watch it.

My parents aren't too bad. My uncle started dating a black woman and I thought that might be a problem with my family but they welcomed her into the family with open arms. She was a really nice woman, and it's a shame my uncle passed so suddenly. He really loved her.

More people from the city are moving into the suburbs and suddenly we have dead bodies behind Meijer. Around here it's less of a race thing and more of a fear of 'Detriot city folk' thing. The bigger problem for my family is the homophobia and transphobia. Sometimes I stupidly argue that one and just piss myself off.

I once had a black girlfriend but i dumped her cause my family was making fun of me for it ( i was like 14 at the time)

Cant really blame our parents/ grandparents for being racist they lived in a time when racism was the normal. Maybe if we were born 1969 instead of 1995 we would be racist too. THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT...
But yeah I think we should worry about our generation then worry about the older generation. To this day our generation has racism too. But in a different form. for example... im pretty sure everyone has heard of this in highschool " If your black you cant be racist" LOL! honestly who ever made this statement should just shoot themselves in the face.

Racism definition: the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

No where in the definition does it say you have to be white to be a racist. But in todays society blacks can say a racist statement and it would be shrugged off. But if a white person says somthing racist it would be all over the media. most blacks people defense is well we were slaves once to white men so we can be racist!!

If you know anything about history you would know that it was BLACK people who sold BLACK people to WHITE people. And NOT ALL white countries supported it for example Canada was saving black slaves but apparently we are no better still and get blamed for slavery when there was no slaves in canadas history at all. just because our nation is considered to be mostly white. But anyways why is using slavery as an excuse still a thing? like why!?! all the people who had gone through slavery or had a slave are DEAD! Like honestly if more people worry about human trafficking that is a REAL PROBLEM today like they worry about pass slavery the world would be a much better place.

My family is pretty racist and sometimes illogical but nothing I can do about that. I will admit that I'm a bit racist myself but I try not to act on my thoughts. I don't bother trying to change them since they wouldn't listen, anyway.

We're talking about people who think sleeping past 8am is a crime and that "evil spirits" is a good reason to change your career.
