For some reason I find competitive multiplayer stressful now, so almost any good single player game will do. Games such as Civilization V, Skyrim or old-school isometric titles like the original Fallout.

i tend to pick up my phone and play those dumb apps where you just tap all day while i daydream about dumb stuff and/or listen to music. (ex. flappy bird, piano tiles, don't touch the spikes) once you get a hang of the gameplay, it's like second nature
but to be honest, anything that isn't, like, a fighter or a heavily rage-inducing platformer or something i can use to relax and chill down a bit

Games to relax, absolutely those small games.
I love FM but that's a big game on PC. I cannot take my laptop everywhere.
So I choose Football Planet on my iphone to relax.
Football fans can take a look.

Dark Souls 2. Once you've beat the game once, it's a breeze to go through it again. Sometimes I play Skyrim but the loading times and buggyness annoys me so I've been playing other games.

I guess it depends on the type of relaxation I seek.

If I just want to relax after a long day, I'll play Skyrim for sure. No substitute.

If I want to relax after getting my shit kicked or from being angry, I'll play Gears of War, God of War, or maybe Halo.

If I just want to take some time for myself and relax, I'll play World of Warcraft.

Now here is a gamer after my own heart! Many happy hours spent doing battle in those titles.

But! If I want to play a game to kick back and relax, the Musou (i.e. Warriors) series is always there for me. Samurai Warriors 2, in particular, seems to be best for this (IMO).

Well, when I want to relax I play shooters (like COD), on my Wii U, because you don't have to think a lot and also you can easily spend 30 minutes and forget your problems. Also playing a RTS makes me forget my stupid life problems...

Right now playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance... pretty much play anything though. A go-to has always been Skyrim, which is modded to hell, and RPG Maker VX Aace
