Yes they should, I know these kinds of projects can be long to implement, but HTML5 has been around for quite a while now, it's about time they do it in my opinion.

Would love for them to do this. I've asked about it circa 1 year ago. I do understand that it can take some time to migrate tho. But shouldn't take that long time.

So... all major browsers have even dropped or blocked by default flash content. You need now to force it or opt-in in each site to make flash work. Other streaming services like Netflix already switched to HTML5 player for obvious reasons (is more convenient for the users, it works better, etc.). And yet, Crunchyroll is still using Flash.

You guys seriously need to modernize your player, because if industry has shown something, is that if you attach yourself to outdated technology, you fail.

Theres again a new Day Zero exploit in Flash and its a big one again!
I mean common the only reason i still have Flash installed is crunchyroll, all the illegal websites etc already have html5.
I cant use Crunchyroll on my Samsung smart tv because there is no App in the store and the smart tv wont allow the use of flash in the Browser at all.
I really want to support anime in europe especially in Germany but you guys make it very hard to do so.

Since Flash Player support ends in two years, hopefully the Crunchyroll staff is planning how to migrate the site to HTML5.

See https://theblog.adobe.com/adobe-flash-update/ for the official announcement.

Well if we want to get them to move faster with switching away from Flash, we should start asking for refunds or stop paying for the premium memberships and give them the reason of "Needing a more secure player."
Hopefully that would wake them up. Most companies take notice if they start losing money.

I recently started a premium membership trial because I've been getting back into anime again and I was shocked to find out that you still need to have flash player to watch anime on Crunchyroll! What is this?! 2008?!
No way I'm going to expose my computer to security vulnerabilities just for Crunchyroll. I've been watching Crunchyroll on my PS4 but until they fix this, I'm not even going to consider subscribing.
