I haven't seen the one like we had last March in over a year. It's rare to see so many colors at the same time!

I tried taking pictures of the aurora, but I couldn't find my tripod. The photos I did take came out all blurry.

Too bad, because it was only 15°F at the time - I could have spent all night outside.

That sucks! But at least you'll have them in your memory I just had to figure out what 15°F was in Celsius haha... Fahrenheit and miles and inches, oh my!

That's why I keep a calculator with lots of conversion functions next to my computer!

I usually show °F and °C, but I was distracted with reading really stoooopid questions on Yahoo Answers.

So what's life like in your part of Canada?

It's nice. The grass is turning from brownish to green, frogs are croaking and the birds are louder. I always forget what spring is like each year and it creeps up and surprises/delights me haha And I'm just finishing up some online courses and figuring out some life stuff :)

Mixed feelings. I only moved here back in 2008 because of a interesting job offer that turned out to be akin to working in a gulag.

At first, I hated Alaska. But since then, the small town charm, quiet, wilderness, and freedoms have grown on me. I recently quit that job and I'm torn between staying here and moving back to Pennsylvania (east coast of the US).

A gulag! That's crazy! That would be really horrible. What made you stick it out for so long?

And yeah, I can understand loving the charm, quiet, and wilderness. Have you been back to Pennsylvania much since you movied?

I haven't been back to the "Lower 48" since moving up here - I just couldn't afford the trip.

As far as that job went... would you believe that I was the only mechanic left from the original crew back in 2008 (when I started)? I've seen more than two dozen mechanics, 5 supervisors, and two general managers transfer or quit in that short time! And it's not like it was a bad place to work - in fact most everyone loved their job. The problem was with management.

Sorry to rant. I'm upset because I ran out of oranges.

Haha, no need to apologize! That sucks, though.

Thanks! (I need the vitamin C) I'm heading to the supermarket later today, so I'll stock up and return the favor tomorrow.

I'm logging off now so I can watch Gourmet Girl Graffiti. The subtitles move pretty fast on that one, so I need to concentrate.

Good night.. err... day? I hate time zones!
