This is my first time asking the internet for advice on what to watch, so hopefully I can get some good ones :).

I've recently watched, and thoroughly enjoyed, the following anime:

Fairy Tail - Strong candidate for my favorite anime.
Sword Art Online - This is definitely in my top 5. Haven't started the sequel yet though, waiting for it to finish up before I begin it.
Eureka Seven - one of my top 5 favorites so far
Eureka Seven Ao - not quite as good as the original, but still enjoyed it
Sora No Otoshimono - despite being somewhat ecchi, I thought it had a good story (although the ending really pissed me off)
Accel World - despite the main character being extremely annoying, I enjoyed this one quite a bit as well.
Kill La Kill - crazy art style, but really interesting story
Full Metal Alchemist - who hasn't seen this?
Bleach - same as FMA
Psycho-Pass - This one is not something I'd typically watch, but it surprised me.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - watched the original one a long time ago

I tried watching One Piece, but I just couldn't get into it; I gave it 25 episodes though, just not my thing.
I watched like the first 200 or so episodes of Naruto, but it stalled too hard and I lost interest.

I prefer shows with in depth characters, some action, and I do enjoy a good romance/strong friendship (i.e. Renton & Eureka, Natsu & Lucy, and Kirito & Asuna).

I have watched several others, these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

If you have some recommendations, based on the ones I've listed above, I'd be glad to check em out.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick replies :)

I've watched Fate stay/night, forgot to put those up there, I liked them as well.

I'll give some of these a shot

The World God Only Knows is pretty funny, not too action heavy but still interesting, and not too much fan service. Just crushed it in a day and found it rather enjoyable

Angel Beats is freakin' hilarious, rather short, some action (but not action heavy), just get ready for the feels train at the end. Definitely worth watching..

Kenichi isn't on this site but it definitely fills the action slot. Quite funny though not super close friendships/relationships. That's not to say there aren't relationships, it just isn't really a focal point. Good Action/Comedy watch

Aldnoah Zero takes on a more serious setting but it has a rather unique take on overcoming plot points. Fair amount of action. I'm not a mech fan, this is technically a mech anime, and I love it. Try out the first episode and if that doesn't click for you then you're broken :P. Just kidding, but it's seriously awesome

Trinity Seven is short and funny. Doesn't have a lot of character development yet but highly enjoyable

Just a thought here: you seem to watch a lot of Shōnen. That's how I got started in anime (Dragon Ball, DBZ, Inuyasha, Naruto as a kid) but in the last couple years I've been expanding my genre's. This site is filled with gems that not a lot of people give a chance like Another, Maoyu, The Irregular at Magic High, Say "I Love You" and so many more. Slice of life can be hilarious and get you really invested in a few characters at a time. For someone like myself who always went to Shōnen first this seemed a genre I'd dislike yet Saekano - How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend is the anime I look forward to most this season. It cracks me up and always leaves a smile on my face by the time I'm done the epsidoe. Adventure without a focus on action can lead to highly rewarding plots and developments. Everyone's heard of Attack on Titan but there's actually surprisingly little action involved (and a considerable amount of panic and running.. and gore.. there's a lot of gore). Everyone's heard of it because it's sweeeeet. Mystery's are self explanatory. Blast of Tempest threw me for some serious loops. A lot. It's what really kept me coming back, it was a bit of a mind f%#& and I was super excited to see where it would go next. There's a lot of great stories out there, sometimes it's an awesome surprise to try new things
