The amount of times I have walked back and forth while at work because I can't remember what I was doing. 17000 steps in 6 hours becomes a little un-reasonable.

Ah, yes. I'm also the world's worst navigator.

If I walk around or drive around for 5 minutes, I'll forget where I came from. I also have no sense of direction. I usually require a guide when going to new areas. I still can't name the streets near my house and I've been living in the same area for 20 years.

same^ I get lost coming home and can't navigate directions..I even just forgot what the topic of this forum was...I had to search for it above..sighs..
And if someone tells me their name...no , I won't remember it the next instant.

So if I see them again, i just say " good to see you again" and hope they don't take offense I can't recall their name.

I have a terrible short-term memory, but a good long-term memory. If I'm interested enough in something that I really take note of it, then it's with me for years, no matter how trivial it might be. Conversely, pretty much anything I'm not actively interested in will inevitably be lost in the whirling maelstrom of my thoughts in the span of sixty seconds. This includes most immediately useful practical knowledge that I don't expect to use again. Give me directions to somewhere I don't intend to revisit, and I will forget them before we arrive. Tell me why a certain cooking technique is better than the alternative in a particular recipe, and I'll know that technique for years, despite my relative disinterest in cooking and even if I hate that dish. It all has to do with how interesting a thought process I can glean from the information I'm given. Facts are bland; theories and opinions are substantial.

Uhm, I would say overall it's pretty good, but lately I've been forgetting little things. For example, If I wanted to search something later, I would forget about it and takes me a while just to remember.

I put Ramen noodles in the microwave but forgot to add water. I ruined the bowl and the house smelled like burnt dry noodles. This almost happened again.

That's why I write most things down, in case I forget.

I'm not at all, and it's rather the complete oppsite. I seem to be creating fake memories which i believe are true, so when i talk about them to someone that was involved in the memory, they say it never happened...

And those memories are the ones i remember the best too...

I'm fairly forgetful a lot of the time. When leaving someones house I usually end up running back in for something. Im also dreadful when it comes to birthdays at times. I just remembered today that my nephew turns 9 on wednesday and I still havent mailed him a card.

I have a very selective memory, and my short-term memory is pretty bad. Getting better since I stopped smoking weed though....
