This was probably the first time this happened to me, I went to bed around 1am, woke up an hour later hearing the High school DxD theme tune and I saw a gloomy background of a public toilet in a park, something that looks like it belongs in a visual novel, I opened my eyes and noticed in the tall mirror facing my bed the girl from the ring, I tried moving, but I couldn't what so ever, like if you try to move a dead arm or a dead leg, you really want to move it, but it's just not happening.

I fell asleep and woke up 10 minutes later, again, unable to move, I looked in the mirror and again, saw the girl from the ring just standing there and then I heard radio static, I shut my eyes as hard as I could and I kept thinking to myself "This is a nightmare, this is a nightmare, just wake up!", then I snapped out of it, I was awake, able to move and pretty terrified about what just happened, as you would if you saw the girl from the ring standing in your mirror :P

As I said this was probably the first time I actually experienced sleep paralysis, and it was a pretty terrifying experience xD
Anyway, I'm interested, have you experienced sleep paralysis and if you have, what happened in them and how often do you experience it?

Thank god, no. Not yet, at least. I really hope i won't have to go through it, i have trouble enough as it is to go to sleep. I would be terrified of sleeping if i experienced something like that.

No, I hope I never do. It would be a terrifying experience.

I swear I've seen some kinds of apparition before. I have really distressed sleep sometimes due to my issues… so Ill sometimes wake up feeling terrified. When I was 6 I swear i ventured out into the hall and saw a demonic figure in a death cloak. Couldn't speak. Just kind of stammered out whimpery noises. That was probably creepiest psuedo dream / perhaps real moment I've ever had in my life.

Yeah! I was told it was an "old lady" sitting on your chest when that happens.. My family likes to make me scared xD

At least once when I was a kid, I don't recall any other episodes.

Lots of myths around the world as to what causes it, but plenty of science too.

It was so weird, now I can't look at the ring girl or the girl from the exorcist or the grudge girl without getting really scared O_O

I experienced sleep paralysis quite a bit in my youth. Now I'm just a full time sleeper.

I've experienced it quite a few times. It sucks but it's actually kinda cool in a weird way.

I have but I don't tend to hallucinate during them for some reason. It's basically me under my covers having trouble breathing until I can muster the strength to push the covers off my neck and take a proper breath in.

Ah those dreams that you dream you're awake but can't move. I had some of them when I was a child.

Yeah I have several times. The weird thing is it only happens when I'm especially vulnerable and down. I get surrounded by this weird purple, dark vibrating energy that I can actually see, plus I can't move, only making it more terrifying as countless of people have expereinced too. Only once have I seen "The Old Hag" staring right at me. I'm completely convinced that I'm awake when it happens. It's such an odd and frightening experience.
Some people believe it's shadow people attacking you. It sounds far-fetched, but it doesn't take the feeling away that whatever is surrounding you wants to hurt you, I think that's the worst thing about it and I have no idea if that can be explained.

Do you sleep in an cold environment? That could be the problem. It becomes easier to sleep in colder temperature, but in return, can produce nightmares.

I have sleep paralysis, when i actually figure out i'm dreaming in a dream i try really really hard to open my eyes and real life but its not possible because your body automatically undergoes sleep paralysis while you are in deep rem sleep

No, it was fairly warm, my radiator was on during the night, so the room was relatively warm, I was watching this youtuber GizEdwards who said something about an imbalance of chemicals in your brain that makes your mind wake up, but your body is still paralyzed.
