I never make my bed but it usually stays made... I never actually sleep under the sheets and covers. I just sleep on top of the made bed with a blanket or down duvet (depending on the season). I dislike the constraint of a made bed and prefer loose blankets I can kick around or bundle about myself like a cocoon.

I straighten the sheets and blankets most mornings, but I don't really go all the way to "making" the bed. I only go that far because my cats like to stretch out on the bed when the sun hits the room.

Growing up my step-mother would scream at my dad if I didn't have my sheets tucked in the mattress and a crease between my pillows and duvet. She also would take me and my sister's dinner away and send us to bed if she didn't approve of our table manners. We dreaded having to go over there for weekends. My mom was the complete opposite; she was too busy to give a damn about the state of our bed-sheets.

The neat freak in me wants to but studies have found it is better health wise not to. By leaving your sheets all crumpled and strewn about it helps air everything in between usage which intern helps keep dust mite numbers down.

Yes, for those who are just lazy you actually have an excuse now if someone in the house is badgering you about it.

I'd have told her to fuck right off if she tried that with me, she's not related to me biologically, she has no say in anything. Try taking my food? That's a good way to loose a limb... Or something more valuable.

I don't understand the purpose of making up my bed when I'm just going to mess it up again that night anyway.

Every day, though I don't tuck the corners and stuff in. Just toss the sheet over the bed and straighten it out. Was mandatory as a kid. Was mandatory in military.

Only time don't make bed is when feeling ultra-super-lazy.

Yeah I make it everyday after I wake up. It just kinda became a habit after having to do it for so long.
