In Fairy Tail you see people with swords and attacking people but no blood. So are all the swords blunt?

For some reason, A-1 doesn't animate blood in Fairy Tail.

People literally get impaled and then left with bruises.

I remember this one episode one of the characters (idk who) was talking about how he couldn't do anything anymore because his wounds were so deep. But he only had a few scratches and dirt marks. They actually showed blood maybe 2 times but it was black instead of red.

it's because they're not real weapons. they're the manifestation of their powers of friendship!!!!

Well given the target audience... I dont think it would have very much blood, save the bit that they always wipe from their mouth.

Did you know, wearing Chainmail essentially removes the edge from any Sword that comes in contact with you....not in a magical way.

If you're wearing chainmail and someone tries to slice through it with a sword, the swords edge isnt' going to get through the metal chains.

Ergo, the sword might as well be a blunt metal pole.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN HIT BY A METAL POLE IN THE GUT BEFORE? IT STILL HURTS.
