One step closer to persicoms from Chobits.

I certainly hope so, and based on the Chobits they are only 600,000 ¥ ($5,000 US) so they are quite the bargain.

Just don't program them to learn and if you do don't allow them access to the internet or allow them the freedom to move without restriction... Several people a lot smarter than me have given us several warning about this ...I hope that one day we aren't all looking back wishing we would have took a note from the movies. Also that just means fewer jobs in an already strained economy around the world... robots (just a earlier version) have been replacing factory workers for years... as the people with money to research this tech is doing it to get ride of the highest expense of most any company... salary expenses.

This could be to gain research in order to replace all hotels and banks with robots... they have been researching hologram tech to replace tellers at banks for the past couple of years... this could be their answer... this doesn't look good for the rest of us... once the rich figure out ways to do away with us whats the difference in them making us live in lil areas and control us... the governments are getting ready for huge water and food shortages... the rich are building multimillion dollar survival bunkers. Scientist have warned us for years big business controls politics around the world and guess what we still have them saying global warming is a myth.

It really isn't looking good for the world and I seriously believe that we will destroy ourselves in the end with our own creation.

For me "GODDAMIT, JAPAN" also can be used for WTF'ery or be substituted for "only in Japan". I can't imagine any other country doing this firsthand besides Japan *shrug*.

With robots, gadgets, and gizmos taking over real social interaction it's no wonder Japan has a population growth rate problem.

Indeed, their government has said no to mass immigration and turned their hopes to robots.

Exactly, now look what the government is doing. They're being forced to open up the country more to foreign immigration, or else let its economy die as a result of depopulation. Robots ain't solving that problem.

With that price, I'll be amazed if the hotel isn't fully booked in no time at all. Sadly, with a declining working population and increased consumer consumption it was only a matter of time. Sure, they are going to have some actual people for the problems that arise but I think the novelty of having as many robots as possible is going to draw folks in. I would love to stay there, just to say that I stayed there. If this hotel does well, I can see it spreading outward and being a huge game changer.

Oh, Holland, okay. Never knew they had something like that in Japan. But anyway, yes since I'd like to experience all sorts of different things I would love to try and see what it's like to spend a night/(s) in an hotel managed by Robots.

"Hotel Bot, are you reading me?"
"Affirmative, Blue. I read you."
"Open the steam bath door, Hotel Bot."
"I'm sorry Blue, I'm afraid I can't do that."

I feel I'm destined for a future of fear supposing humanoid machines become abundant. Terminator made sure to make me scared of the bloody things, and knowing I may live to see them in human society has me somewhat concerned.
