A zombie apocalypse startes. You can pick 1 of the 5 weapons to help you make it to a boat so you can live out on an uncharted island. I would personally pick the weed wacker

I'd pick the fat man next to me. This fuckers so fat they'd eat him and evolve into vegetarians after losing interest in human meat.

Personally, out of the 5, probably the baseball bat. It might take a bit of strength but you could kill a zombie with a single blow to the head. A machete has a chance of getting stuck as the blade would get duller, a weed whacker would make too much noise for my liking. The garbage bag full of bricks would end up bursting after a few swings I bet and a airsoft gun with 500 rounds...might take a few rounds to kill a zombie even if they all hit the head. Yeah the baseball bat could end up splintering and breaking, but as long as your careful you just got a stabbing weapon instead of a blunt weapon.

A heavy duty machete is a good for fighting and as a tool. A thick machete can split kindling and stuff. It has less range than a sword but a machete with the proper weight distribution is more than enough to hack limbs and necks. I voted machete, but a poorly made one sucks and is outranked by a baseball bat.

A hatchet would have a similar use but would be harder to fight with. It's more durable and powerful and lets you cut harder materials more easily. You can brain an attacker just by chopping into the skull, which is nice.

A sword would be the best close range fighting tool, IMO. However, it's limited to only killing zombies, weighs more than a hatchet or machete, requires more maintenance, and can't double as a tool for cutting materials.

A crowbar is also pretty good. The downside is that you have to target the head directly every time and the vibrations hurt your hands. But a crowbar is virtually unbreakable. Titanium ones weigh a little less and are just as good for prying things open.

Bag of bricks would be useful for throwing but you'll have a hard time carrying it around. And you need to be strong and accurate to strike the head hard enough to smash the brain. Very difficult.

Weed whackers are useless for killing zombies. Unless you mean a riding lawnmower (which is loud and runs out of fuel), a weed whacker doesn't have the power to chop through skulls easily and damage the brain. Sure, they can easily cut fingers, but they'll be useless against arms and legs of zombies. A weed whacker is also loud, runs out of fuel, and heavy. You're better off with a chainsaw, which also sucks.

Airsoft guns would be nice for pissing off zombies and alerting them to your presence. They don't have the power to punch through the skull, otherwise regulations on them would be more strict. They also have less effective range than a gun. Try using a real gun.

I beg to differ with the weed wacker. It might seems useless to cut arms and legs off but cutting their arms and legs of in the first place is useless cuz their the walking dead. I would use it to slice their necks since removing the head is usually the way to kill them.

The neck bones are extremely tough. You need a lot of force to saw through vertebrae unless you're precise enough to go between them. Beheading videos really drive home how tough the human neck bones are. Imagine a segment of bone larger in diameter than a quarter. This is material that is stronger than concrete. A weed whacker uses a thin, coated wire designed to quickly cut blades of grass and light vegetation.

Executioners who aren't precise enough with their knives end up taking well over a minute to get the head off, and this is usually because they give up after hacking away fruitlessly and resort to twisting the neck apart instead.

I picked machete, but if I had free reign over my weapon of choice, I'd pick a katana in a heartbeart! Secondary weapon would probably be bow and arrow. Bullets are difficult to make once you run out, but arrows are much more fesible - also retrievable.

But you still can get through most of the neck :D

^Yeah, but as long as the spinal cord is still intact, the zombie can still move around and try to attack you.

I guess if you have some sort of special way to damage the spinal cord without severing the neck, that will work. Still, a weed whacker is several times heavier than a machete, runs out of fuel, makes a ton of noise, and is impractical as a tool for anything other than trimming vegetation lol

Bat for the win. Why cut when you can crush?

"Oh no, my bat is dull from all this...Oh wait. It's a bat, it's supposed to be dull. KILL KILL KILL." That a boy, Timmy.
