I would like to point out a few thing everyone in this thread seems to be over looking
1. The kid broke the law
2. The video could have been a setup to discredit the police because he was way over reacting
3. I saw the cops hands on his shoulders not on his neck and if it had gotten as bad people seem to think it did wouldn't have any of the other three cops have stepped in?
No the whole thing smells fishy I am calling either fake or a setup

Yes and no, he is an (I've got no idea if there's a word for this in english) Ordningsvakt. A rank within the police given to those who didn't qualify to become a "real"police. A ordningsvakts job is basically just keeping an eye on people so they don't do illegal stuff like drugs and to stop things like fights between people... And if nessesery, call in the higher ups at the "real" police.

He's NOT a police officer, he's a security guard.

Apparently those kids were "wanted for something", and that kid had been biting the security guards hand.
So I'm thinking that a lot more happened prior to this, and that it isn't just about a kid not having a ticket.

That being said though, there is absolutely NO excuse for what this man is doing to that child. PERIOD.
I'm not sure what makes me angrier, the security guard or the people who're just standing there watching.

- On the side, if anyone can understand what the child is saying, could you please post a translation here? *EDIT*

Badly trained cops not using proper restraint techniques. And over a bus ticket?

Shame on you, Sweden. You are not Amerika.

I withhold any further judgment as we do not see the events leading up to this.

First of all I'd like to point out that there's not a single country that's perfect.

I just read that the officer have been suspended for the time being while they investigate what happened, I've also read that the kid tried to bite the officesrs arm so that he could run away and then ended up in the situation you see in the video.

I can bearyl hear what he is saying, but this is what I got out of it.

Swedish; Aj, aj släpp mig det gör ont. Låt mig gå eller så dödar jag dig din jävel

English; aw, aw let me go that hurts. Let me go or I'll kill you, you fucker.

That's what I got out of it, he might have said something else...

Why the hell was he smashing the kid's head against the ground over and over?

This is just disgusting.

That's not enough. He needs to be arrested. He pretty much assaulted a helpless little kid.

Police brutality only happens in America, they said. It will never happen in Europe, they said.

We didn't see if the kid tried kicking the cop in the nuts and tried running off. We only saw the cop sitting on the kid. We didn't see if the kid tried spitting on the cop. We only saw the cop covering the kid's mouth.

But I must say, it sure looked bad seeing that cop sitting on the kid. Maybe he should have used a different compliance technique to restrain the kid.

none of that actually matters, it's a kid, so as long as there is no chance of serious injury then the cop had no business using such a violent approach.
in denmark cops are expected to put their safety on the line for the sake of the citizens, that includes the guy they are arresting, i would imagine sweden being much the same, seeing how the two police forces are pretty much intertwined at this point.

see..police brutality happens to every one. doesn't matter who you are.

It seems like the police around the world are getting a little to coked up on their power.

Getting real fucking sick and tired of seeing this kind of stuff go on.
