I'm have a MIGHTY NEED for some new (or old) comedy.

First I have to describe my sense of humor. I only bring these up because often when I ask, romcoms & harem anime make up 90% of the responses. Thank you for understanding.

A) I'm not a romantic person at all. It can have some minor romance in it, but not enough that it's the main focus of the show, or the subplot.

B) My tolerance for ecchi is.....complicated. For example, I loved Colorful, Ranma 1/2, Ebichu, Agent Aika, Devilman Woman, & Apocalypse Zero....but I hate Fooly Cooly, Eikan, & Puni Puni Poemi. I think I only like ecchi if the women are aggressive, & perverts are masochists or punished with bodily harm. Maybe we'll just call it Dominatrix Humor.

C) When it comes to Harem, I prefer "all boys school" as well as Unwanted Harem, where the guy is a high-strung paranoid buttmonkey / doormat, & the harem is comprised entirely of screw-loose tsunderes & yanderes with weird hobbies.

D) I do greatly enjoy combat, macabre humor, agressive women, friends that constantly get on eachother's nerves, mindf***ery, & slapstick.

E) My policy on moe & fanservice: The less the better.

Examples of stuff I've enjoyed:
*Azumanga Daioh.
*Boku Patalliro.
*Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan season 1.
*Chou Gals.
*Colorful.
*Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.
*Dead Leaves.
*Ebichu.
*Excel Saga.
*Full Metal Panic Fumoffu.
*Gintama.
*Gokudo Kun-Manyuuki.
*Gokusen.
*Goldfish Warning.
*Gravitation.
*Greart Teacher Onizuka.
*Happy Lesson.
*Hetalia.
*High Score.
*Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Goo.
*Juubei-Chan.
*Kusatta Kyoushi no Houteishiki.
*Kyou Kara Maou.
*Majigal Play.
*Master of Mosquiton 99.
*Nekojiru Gekijou.
*Oran Highschool Host Club (Thankfully the anime ended before there was any romance).
*Original DiGi Charat.
*Orphan Revenge.
*Photon: The Idiot Adventures.
*Ranma 1/2.
*School Rumble.
*Sakigake! Cramortie High.
*Samurai Pizza Cats.
*Slayers Great.
*Special Duty Combat Unit Shinesman.
*Takashi Taniguchi shorts (Saleryman Man, Mr. Ando of the Woods, etc).
*Yugioh Abridged.

Stuff I really couldn't get into:
--------------------------------------------------
*Bokustatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan season 2. (Took everything good about season 1 & threw it out the window).
*Eikan. (All ecchi, no substance).
*Furi-Kuri. (I should like this, but it's like it crosses the line once when it needs to cross it twice).
*Golden Boy (Each episode was hit-&-miss for me. I really hated the one with the motorcycle chick).
*Lucky*Star. (Loved Konata, but it was just so unfunny).
*Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (Each episode was hit & miss).
*Nichijou (It seemed very promising, but it bored me).
*One Piece (Really hate the art style).
*Puni-Puni Poemi. (All ecchi, no substance).
*Squid Girl. (It sounded so promising, but it was too...nonthreatening, innocent, saccharine....)
*Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. (I really hated the main character).
*Toriko (Uber muscular bodies gross me out).

Yeah, Nichijou.

Oh, I'll also add Senyu and Teekyu. Both of which are on CR and both of which are shorts.

Chronicles of the going home club (which is on CR)
D-Frag
Hataraku Maou-Sama

And for a really weird one try "Ghost Stories" but watch it dubbed. The original show is a horror story, but it was so mediocre, when they dubbed it they basically told the voice actors to say whatever they want and changed the entire show into a comedy. It was basically an abridged show but I'm almost certain it came out before abridged was a thing.

Nichijou is surreal, moe, and hilarious. I'd also suggest lucky star (which is just random comedy) and maybe yuyushiki which is another random comedy show but it does have some fan service and Yuri stuff going on in it. Hope you find something you like.

Oh yes, this will do nicely. Very nicely.

You don't have to limit your suggestions to stuff available on Crucnhyroll. I'll bookmark this topic & check back on it one in awhile.

Seitokai Yakuindomo is the best comedy ever made and if you don't like it you are an uncultured heathen with shit taste in comedy.

No, but seriously, it's an anime about a bunch of pervert girls and sensible guy.

A few of my favorite comedies that I don't see on your list:

- The World God Only Knows: spoofs a lot of date-sim and manga/anime tropes, and I find the MC's attitude hilarious.

- My Mental Choices are Completely Ruining My Romantic Comedy: Another spoof, this time of ecchi harem shows. (Although it itself is kind of an ecchi harem show--after all, you have to be what you are making fun of--so be warned)

- The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors: Romance sub-plot, but mostly it's about the "normal" MC interacting with a bunch of weirdos at the place he moves into.

- Ookami-San and Her Seven Companions: The narrator is freakin' hilarious; it's a spoof of fairy tales.

- I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying: Short-form, but really funny, about office worker and her otaku husband.

- Mayo Chiki: If you like harems where the guy is constantly getting his ass kicked, look here; harem builds around a guy who is afraid of women (because his pro-wrestling mother and wanna-be wrestler sister keep using him for practice).

A lot of the best comedies I've seen lately are slightly romantic comedies.

My Teenage Romantic Comedy Snafu - a group of severely anti social kids in high school are in a club that performs services for other students. Bits of romance hinted at, but nothing really at all, there is a second season coming.

Love, Chunibyo and other Delusions - A 1st year who once had an extremely over active imagination tries to separate himself form his embarrassing past, but his female neighbor has just as big an imagination as him, is still stuck in her delusions, and knows about his past and sucks him back in. The first 5 or 6 episodes of this anime had me laughing the entire time. It is by far the funniest show I've seen. However, the last half of the first season gets really dramatic, and romance between the two characters takes the focus. You'll cry.

I'm also going to mention Highschool DxD, because while it is an ecchi harem, it fits into your parameters of acceptable levels. The women of DxD are aggressive, and one of them is a straight up admitted Sadist, and her voice is particularly sexy. It's also pretty damn funny.

I had a bit of a problem finding Nichijou, since it was removed from Crunchyroll & there are apparently 3 totally unrelated series by that title & they were easier to find. XD

Keep em coming guys, you can never see too much comedy; keeps you from becoming too cynical & bitter....Just takes the weight of the world off your shoulders & makes you feel like a teenager again. Especially appreciate the suggestions that come with descriptions.

I can vouch for my shit taste. I crack up at STEAM games & watch the lowest quality indie flicks ever made.

Yes, this is from an actual movie that really exists.

I'm ten episodes into Samurai Flamenco, which seems to be about a closeted gay youth who teams up with a cop who does not appreciate said-youth's advances but does not disagree with his goals to fight petty crime such as jay-walking or littering. A beautiful bipolar girl, unto whom the same hardly spoken-of advances get pushed, tries to take the spotlight.

Mostly, it's a big satire of the "transform" superhero and the Power Ranger team. Except Red will never run a red light on his bicycle, ever, and he won't let Blue do it either.

Episodes 1-6 are real tame and "ok, I get what the difference is here," make it to 7 and you might be hooked.

Italian Spiderman, if you've seen Puma Man and Fortunes of Captain Blood.
