I wouldn't go as far as anime saving my life, but with my recent health situation it has helped me cope with things and it does provide a nice distraction. Sometimes my biggest issue is deciding what to watch. Some shows also give me new ideas when it comes to thinking outside the box. Bringing on an "hey, could that work?" scenario, and inspires lots of creativity. Anime is really good at showing life from different perspectives, and situations.. even if the world that a show is set in is fictional.

No, but if I ever encounter buxom invading (insert type here) women. I know to take them on a romantic dates to the public aquarium and buy them a crepe afterwards, problem solved.

I don't think it has saved my life, but it sure as hell saved me from wasting time on movies and tv-series, since anime is naturally the superior medium.

Totally, Anime is love. Anime is life. Everyday I wake up wondering what new episodes are being uploaded today. I swear, I've been watching every single anime being uploaded for last 2 years. o.o ( was catching up on one peace before that. xD )

I always keep my anime in my back right pocket.
If muggers ever make an attempt, they will have serious regrets.

From what I understand, I'm going insane. But whatever, that means nothing.

Anime is what I watch when there's nothing else to do. And because of my location, there's never really much to do.

It's just given me something pretty to look at when I've felt down or uninterested in things.

Something to watch when the weather was bad and I didn't need to venture outside.

It hasn't been overly special to me, but being here has brought me some good things.

That's how I feel about anime. I enjoy it, but it isn't my end all. It's something nice.

A luxury, if you will.

I'd say in a way, yes, it was one of the things that helped me through a dark time in my life when I finished the most pointlessly stressful 5 years of my life in education, then it helped me cope at that time and few years after, and obviously use as a hobby and escapism even to this day and will for years to come , I imagine.

It's a symbiosis. You protect anime from it's natural predators by giving it shelter in your pocket. Anime helps you in return.
You form this cooperation to survive. Isn't nature mysterious and wonderful?
