First Colbert and now Stewart? I know the Daily Show itself is not ending, but without Jon Stewart...this is truly a loss.

The worst part of this is I just turned 18. I can actually participate in the political process now, but now I've lost two of my best news sources. Colbert and Stewart didn't just report the news, they researched it thoroughly (unlike other news sources do) to satirize current events and, more importantly, reveal the truth behind these events. Satire, I find, is the best counter to political spin and both of these shows were important to keeping spin in check.

At least we have Jon Oliver over at HBO...

Sad day. John Stewart's satire is hilarious.

I love Jon Oliver but he's like what? Once a week, and on a premium channel. Not enough.

Is he the one that actually comes up with the jokes or he reads and memorizes a script of it?

Like you said we have John Oliver on HBO, he speaks the truth and he's allowed to curse and he's very funny as well.

Losing Colbert was a huge blow, I was not really a fan of Stewart but I like his stuff. I recommend Larry Elmore or Bill Maher (P.S. he's a very strong atheist and a democrat, but his show is great tho and his segments.)

That does suck... I hadn't heard this news... that mean the only show left I watched on Comedy Central will be gone... the only way that I can find myself watching that channel now would be if they get John Oliver away from HBO... which I could see happening now. Otherwise I'll probably not watch that channel anymore the new show that replaced Cobert sucks... can't stand it. Tosh.O gets old tired of that guys arrogance. And Kroll show is just plain retarded... along with all the rest... South Park has its moments but that show can't carry the whole channel they are in for a serious hurting in the rating now... i see them having to make some serious moves and create new shows. Starting by cancelling several other shows to free up the money to get some good ones.

Even if your not the bigges fan of Stewart himself, he helped pioneer mock news and found some of the greatest minds out there- such as colbert, which as much as i love John Stew, Colbert was my bae. he will be missed.

Jon Stewart was a muppet. I worry more that people call him a news reporter than I should.
