I just played Ken's rage 2, and realised that this shows epic.

I've watched old shows before, but I was curious if there was a more modern version perhaps ? I know theres a bunch of movies too.

Don't just skip Hokuto no Ken! The show is a grand old time of rousingly amazing action and adventure!

Is their a more modern version? Bah! You have movies that re-animate the most fantastic fights in the show, but no. You get no remake here, just watch the original up here on Crunchyroll, it's not a difficult thing to do.

Just, good luck on the filler episodes and moments. Some are hilarious, some are boring, some are obvious as all fuck. But once you get into the main plot, especially the 3rd Season, you'll be hooked. The voice actors and Animation are high quality ass shit sometimes, you just have to find the jewel episodes among a long running 80's show.

So just watch it, like right now.

Yeah, go watch the series. Movies tend to cut out too much for my liking.

That motivation is serious ! XD

Do you think it would ruin it the fact I know everything about the story, every spoiler in the show really

Only reason I ask is that the show has over 100 episodes, I mainly play playstation games and spend my days playing rpg's and collecting platinums. So when I watch a show over 26 episodes I just wanna make sure its worth it ^_^

There are some OVAs and Movies that are updated. It is an abridged version of the old series. Also there is a 12 episode side-story series that focuses on what Raoh was doing during Kenshiro's adventure, it's called Hokuto no Ken: Raou Gaiden - Ten no Haou.

I haven't seen much of the old series, but I have to say the new stuff makes Raou seem a little softer.

Just finished watching the whole series and I have to say that depsite it's flaws, it's one of the best, most legendary animes ever. No other anime has made tears well up in my eyes like HnK did. They were right ending it when they did. Anything after the Kaioh fight would've been meaningless drivel.

Twenty years ago when I first heard about this thing called anime, I read on forums about "Fist of the North Star" and thought to myself, "man, this is right up my alley! I gotta watch this!" I was too young back then to have the money or resources to watch it until now. I almost feel like I accomplished a life long dream. Thank you Yoshiyuki Okamura, Toei, and Crunchyroll for giving me this opportunity to watch this. Such a great and memorable series!

To me, the fist Ken's Rage is better than the second, even if it has less characters, but the second game is cool too.
