If being born in a certain country would rate in a difficulty rank then being born in North Korea is Nightmare mode.

That's all I have to say about that.

I personally believe that the military control North Korea and that Kim Jong Un is just a scapegoat. The military are built on denial and won't budge from their tactic of trying to look strong to get help. It's a strategy that doesn't work and I'm sure that Kim Jong Un knows that. He's just a fat kid who likes basketball. I don't think he's evil. He's just trapped.

If North Korea opened up then it'd fix itself fast. I'm sure it would have a huge economic boom like Japan, China and South Korea went through. I'm sure the world would love to help the place if it wasn't threatening to nuke everybody. A fresh start and a huge amount of potential for business would be good for the place. Of course, I believe it would be best if they became a democracy in doing so rather than doing what china did - but then again I love my freedom so I would say that.

This is a bit like saying that one hopes Oceania will one day have a turn of events and IngSoc will decide that maybe people thinking freely isn't such a bad thing after all. It's not in the interest of the government of the DPRK to open the country up to the world. If they do that their little propaganda machine falls to pieces and their very legitimacy (sham that it is) is severely compromised. It's why radios receiving foreign frequencies are illegal, it's why viewing foreign television programs is illegal, it's why tourists' movements and experiences are regulated and monitored, and it's why they're willing to go as far as to summarily incarcerate whole groups of people in work camps if any one member decides to try to leave the country without permission. The last thing they want is to open up.

Which is exactly why we on the outside should work to get as much information in and as many people out as possible. These are the things they fear the most.

I feel sorry for the North Koreans. The Cartman picture is probably the closest to what I think. It's like a country enslaved by Cartman. However, seeing as Cartman is an idiot, there are probably other people who simply want the world to think that the country is enslaved by Cartman but it's really enslaved by them.

I hope we can somehow help them out in the future.

From what read Russia is now helping North Korea develop their rocket program.... This should be seen as a serious violation and should result in some serious threats towards Russia. For sure when one of those rockets hits an ally ship at that point I think it should be seen as Russia attacking themselves.

North Koreans and South Koreans are of the same lineage, but the average North Korean is 2" shorter......I went to college in NYC with 15-20 people from South Korea. A few of them were good friends. I've never have and most likely never will meet a North Korean. On one side their is progress and success and on the other is despair. Sad....

Someone assassinate Kim Jong Ugh already though. Fatty needs a nice bullet to the head. He is such an overgrown child. Great / Supreme Leader my ass, he's literally a little piglet who inherited the North Korean dictatorship.

While all the other dictators died, one just remains and still causes some sort of hell.

Will North Korea ever be free from dictatorship?

North Korea is like an idiot with a loaded homemade shotgun that points it at everyone demanding respect. So kind of like Loki, but with zero likability. Their leadership and military is completely insane, and the people are suffering the most. It's like their mind is in a complete state of war. If they actually mount an offensive, or if their reckless actions kill someone, the entire world will be breathing down their necks.
