It's going to be difficult to find a scene which hit me harder than a particular one Grave of the Fireflies.

It can be if you just take it on its own terms and let it roll. Otherwise you'll be left beating your head against something and asking "Why? Why would anyone do that? This could be over in five seconds. Why is this so complicated?"

SCHOOL DAYS! I was depressed for a week after watching that. But i have to admire the guts of the creators to make something like that. I even played VN and is more heartbreaking whatever option i choose.

Definitely Little Busters!

I couldn't get past the obviously flawed logic of that scene enough to cry... Of course by that point Little Busters and I had had a falling out. I really didn't like it when everything was said and done. It was my least favourite Key adaptation. The only part of it that really got to me was:

In Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions:

The last, what, six(?) episodes of Clannad Afterstory. Cried in each and every one. ;.;

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0:

Bokura Ga Ita:

Gundam SEED Destiny:

I get too emotionally involved in anime. This is a very small subset of a huge list.

You had to have really payed attention to understand it.

Little Busters is actually the only Key ending that actually makes sense to me.
