Thou you were joking, proceeds to Google it and epic facepalm ensued. Why even do that ?

Because this society has annoying humans and annoying standards. just look at history, foot binding, corsets etc. present day, eating cotton balls, wearing braces, tight jeans that cause suffocation. Powdering their face while the powder goes into their lungs.

The price of attaining beauty and the price of vanity.

Botox. etc.

These practices need to be shamed, not accepted. Ain't nobody want to live up to these pathetic standards. And don't tell me they do it to make themselves feel good, they do it because they want to look good to others, first and foremost. i'm not buying these, "I do it for myself" bullshit. You ain't doing nothing for yourself.

Owww... Why u do this?

Reminds me of how people went through Chinese Foot-Binding because they thought it was "beautiful".

I've always wanted a few more inches for better leverage and catch-radius. I still would never resort to that. The volume and frequency that energy has traveled through my legs would definitely be too much no matter how long that healed.

Height is not something we can help, often times it's genetically predetermined. I'll be like 5'9" at most according to my genetics, currently I'm 5'7". I'm so sick of media perpetuating that models are idealized and that their body standards are something we should look up to, though. And this doesn't just apply to women. Okay, it's advertising and without attractive people presenting the product, or people who are alluring in other ways, companies will not have lucrative sales, that's just… marketing, but it shouldn't be considered something to aspire to be. Most models are unhealthily thin. About as shapely as a stick. Most are not naturally so and starve. It does bother me that girls aim for that unrealistic standard and that society glamorizes it. It taps into young girls psyches. It really does. So many develop eating disorders based on the implausible bodily standards they're presented with. I was one of those girls once, and to an extent I still am incredibly wary of what I consume and what I do to output those calories, rapidly, because I can't stand the idea of being "fat" or in my case over 120 lbs. no person, male, female, anyone! should be forced to think they need to live up to models. It's terrible that the usage of skinny women inthe media has caused people to think they need to be frail in order to be considered beautiful.

Society can suck a big, fat weenus.

However, on the flipside, I don't think people should endorse obesity either. Neither stick figures nor rolls and rolls of fat are healthy. If you're a bit underweight or overweight, that's not what im referring to. I am referring to people who've clearly either started treating their bodies as waste depositories for junk food with no regard for exercise, or the people whose stomachs are purposely barren. I was the latter, and it was painful. Neither are a "touch" overweight or underweight. They're both unhealthy extremes.

Anyway, enough about weight. Height is genetic and you're stuck with what you're stuck with, most of the time, unless you inherit a recessive gene. It's nothing you can really help unless you'd like to go to this girl's extremes.

Im 4'11 and I wouldn't do this. This is what happens when you are brainwashed by the media's perception of beauty.

I don't get it. This sounds incredibly painful and high risk for minimal reward. Also, your body is designed with your legs a certain proportion to the rest of your body. Won't doing this throw off her balance? I guess it's gradual, but still.

It all sounds like a terrible idea. It's her body, she can do what she wants to it - but I don't know why she would go to such extremes.
