And... the shocking one... Aniplex of America only buys Aniplex shows from Aniplex of Japan!!! But they don't buy them all. Rarely an AofJ show will go to Funimation such as Black Butler Circus. But AofA will never get a show from anyone other than AofJ.



The reason Sentai's licensing announcements have been pretty non existent this quarter was because there were no Showgate titles this quarter (Winter 2015) and any Kadokawa titles they may have licensed are always on an announcement delay.

Are you sure about Showgate though?

If you look at Funimations site they list it as a Media Factory / Kadokawa license. It may be that Showgate is handling all the regions outside NA

You are correct though that Funimation does license some Showgate titles, it's just that they aren't one of their primary licensors
