Yes, because putting this transparent liquid in bottles and branding them makes them so much more special and full of taste.

I just drink tap. It seems ridiculous to spend more money on something that gives me the same taste and nutrition than something from a sink. Also I think it's s funny how ironic smart water is; because only a fool would buy it.

It's like when Mel Brooks opended a can of "Air" and breathed it in. What movie was that, Space Balls?

Do not need bottled water since I live in Norway, and most of the tapwater tastes better that Voss water. The only times I do buy it is when I'm traveling. By the way bulgaria has crap bottlewater :p

As far as I can tell, the water is basically evaporated, the vapour is then condensed and the SMART water is the condensate. This is pure H2O which is lethal so they add electrolytes and minerals after to give it the correct pH and nutritional value. This is how every Ship in the world produces fresh water and how any desalination plant works so it's nothing new. I guess as it is very controlled it is consistent but uses a lot of energy to process at the end of the day it's just someone creating a market that never existed like bottled water did back in the 70's.

If I do buy bottled water it's the cheapest one going! I have no brand loyalty here, water is water.

Both of them are pointless. If I really had to choose, though, I'd say Fiji. I've known about Fiji WAY longer than Voss. And who needs bottled water in a glass bottle???

Lethal?

I don't think so. Many survival books talk about how to make a simple desalination unit and collect the steam basically. I have never heard of it being lethal. You should be able to just drink it.

heres a good example from Dual Survival -

That's a good point, it's the exact same process. I just know on ship we were told the condensate would be dangerous to drink because it was pretty pure/deionised, maybe the words were twisted and it was actually unsafe because it wasn't chlorinated or something. Guess the tank of minerals was some form of mind control to keep us happy and contented workers haha! Interesting video btw.

Why we paying for bottled water when that shit should be free baffles me.

Those companies that sell water are the smartest people out there.

lol, who knows, on a large ship sized system, they may do other stuff to "scrub" the water clean and then have to treat it afterwards.

I know they say that you can't super freeze (see video) a lot of bottled water because it has too many impurities. I have tried it and the only water I could get to do it is FIJI water. So, I guess that says something about the purity of it. It tastes damn good, thats for sure~
