And please no spoilers past Water 7 that's what I'm on, and I've just heard Dressrosa is pretty bad.

I don't think you should be judging Dressrosa at all since you haven't read it. Not to mention you just read through the Davy Back arc which, in my honest opinion is the most worthless, useless arc in the entire series so much so that I tend to forget it even happened at all.

I wouldn't say Dressrosa is a crap arc without even watching it or reading. There is a lot going on that will be important later on down the road story-wise as well as finding out some more information about the world itself and what the marines have been up to since the War of the Best. Personally, I think the Skypiea, Alabasta, the two fishman arcs (Island & Arlong Park), and now including Dressrosa have some of the best world building moments in One Piece that all really flesh out much of the world for us as well as for hinting at what is eventually coming when the story draws down to the grand finale. Dressrosa's fault lies in its length of production and brief moments of action and dialogue that wouldn't take long in actuality are drawn out in the manga. At the same time, Oda is juggling not only a lot of characters, but a lot of subplots as well. The fallout from the results of this arc are going to be huge so Oda needs to get it right and I'm willing to wait.

People do realize that One Piece sales went down in this arc and the last one right? but not that much to even be surpassed by upcoming mangas, so no, one piece will still sell despite of having shitty arcs

The latest volume has sold over 2.9 million copies, so its basically in line with the sales it was having before. The Dressrosa Arc isn't shitty but I'd definitely feel like I was purposely subjecting myself to torture if I watched the arc in the anime. Spreading one chapter into a full episode? I've got better things to do with my time.

Granted, the One Piece anime has been like this since the Thriller Bark Arc.

Since Enies Lobby actually. Luffy running down that hallway will be as forever burned into my mind as Goku in that recovery chamber on Namek.

So yeah One Piece manga is still posting sales other mangaka can only dream of having. One Piece's sales is a phenomena we will never see again so enjoy it while it lasts.

You made some very good points, especially the last part in bold.

I've been hyped for this arc's climax and not just because of the final fight with Doflamingo. This is the first real island of the New World and the longest arc we've had in the series thus far. However, despite all the action/revelations we've gotten, there's also been a lot of setup and seeds of foreshadowing that have been planted (some with huge implications). Looking forward to seeing how it all develops.

Actually dressrosa is one of the best arcs in one piece. You are lucky because when u reach dressrosa you will be able to marathon it . Its just that sometimes the pacing was slow and with all the breaks that oda has been taking its really annoying sometimes.

One piece sales Didnt go down at all, Single volumes sales are the same. When One piece used to sell 38 million a year its because people were buying previous volumes thats why it sold a lot. What reallly matters Is single volumes sales which usually sells 3 million each and it has been consistant like that since 2011. Actually the latest volume of one piece volume 76 has been selling Faster than some of the previous volumes. I'ts really hard to compete with one piece in terms of single volume sales.
