All the time, yo!

I tend to be sneaky and minimize my presence, so I unintentionally spook people pretty often.

Like , right now , practically everything I say makes people feel uncomfortable. I'm not intentionally weird/annoying, that's just how I am.

Example:

Me: *says something*

Friend: ...... *long awkward silence* Well... Okay then...

Why do I have to be cursed with this social-awkwardness?

maybe you have Aspergers and have not been diagnosed. How's your eye contact when talking to people? =)

First of all, that's kind of mean to tell me I have Asbergers just for being weird. Second of all, I'm pretty sure the eye contact thing is a myth. Third of all, if my internet sources are correct, people with Asbergers have trouble expressing their emotions... And I express my emotions pretty well. In fact, maybe a little TOO well... Sometimes my emotions get a little out of control...

So yeah... I'm pretty sure I don't have Asbergers.

Nah, trust me, eye contact isn't so much a myth. If you have to try and it doesn't feel right until you look away, even if you regret it that's classic high-spectrum Asbergers. The fact that you can notice the awkward pauses means you have social skills, but trust me, it's not mean of somebody to bring it up.

Anyway, it's too late to rely on a diagnosis, if you were 12 you might have a shot at being "disabled," but you've got social-awkwardness to deal with and there's nothing wrong with that. You're not disabled because you can perform any task, you're just weird in a very specific way that people really don't get.

I bought kendo sticks and have managed to have swordfights with two friends. It was not hard to get all my friends to crack sticks just to see how it felt to swing these swords against each other, but I only got two to swing at me while I swung at them.

And it was because those two friends, as much as I do or don't understand them, wanted to have swordfights too.

Yes, because I am content to be quiet, and silence makes some other people uncomfortable, like they need to fill the void with conversation...and I'm just like dude, enjoy the silence.

No, I don't.

I believe that's my curse.

I make people feel way too comfortable being around me.

Nah. I can be shy sometimes, but I don't let things get awkward or uncomfortable.

guys no

girls yes.

Shyness mixed with my dashingly good looks :3 = girls thinking I think I'm hot stuff, unapproachable, not friendly, mean, Not single, and many more and/or any mix of the following.
That and filtering what I say because I'm worried what they think. This leads to essentially filtering out my personality.

I learned this from working as a cashier and as well as from RSD videos i watch on youtube.

If just let my personality shine I have only success and not trouble. Girls giggle, they open up, ask me out, etc etc etc. Behold the only thing I had to do was be comfortable with doing what ever it is I wanted to do or say.

The only trouble I may get is I have trouble speaking in general. Like fumbling over words, or losing my words. But for that I just brush it off with a joke.

If it does get awkward with like silence and what not. Just address like, "this is awkward" that alone will help the situation.

I think a lot of it stems from some sort of insecurity. Most people probably don't think much of it because they are too busy thinking about what others think of them. But even if they did think you were weird, what of it? who are they?

oh another thing eye contact will help a lot. Build that laser focused eye contact. Don't forget to blink every now and then but laser focus. Don't back down. It does so much.

Too many times, such as whenever I quietly walk behind my co-workers while they're wearing earphones and then they turn around and are mildly shocked when they see me. I swear I don't do that on purpose.
