One month late to the game.

I grew up in a secular home, but became a christian four years ago.
I'm Lutheran and a member of the Church of Sweden. (A small clue to where I'm from).

Again, I think I'm stuck with Calvinism. But then again, I don't get this whole free will thing. God's sovereignty and free will seem like two diff things.

I've always thought of it as God is sovereign and the definition of everything good and holy but he's not a dictator (there's a line in Bruce Almighty where Jim Carrey asks Morgan Freeman "How do you make people love you without affecting free will?"). God wants us to choose him and will for us but he's not going to force us to. It's like drinking a love potion, it's a false love when someone's forced to love you. So he gives us the option to choose him or not

Lol denominations really get me scratching my head I guess I've never really taken time to understand the differences between us..I dunno it seems we're all the same but with different focuses?
Anyway that said I guess I'm Pentecostal but I'm not too hung up on what church I go as long as I feel at home and I'm getting the word and fellowship. I grew up going Anglican (mum) and Catholic (dad), went to Catholic high school and finally Pentecostal now.

My church is non-denominational but very much Reformed in theology.
Though important, some denominational differences are not particularly significant. I'm reminded of this joke from Emo Philips :

>>
Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"

He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too!

What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too!

Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too!
Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"

Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.
