Hello Im new to the group. I try to take as much scripture to heart as I can. That being said I have been rather ravaged by sin, but hey with him anything is possible even me becoming a better example. I love the world and the people on it. My dream is to white night so hard that it's impossible not to honor God for it.

Hello... I'm Mikeala, pronounced just like Mikayla, and I am a proud Christian that is obsessed with anime and manga. I am a baptist living in the Jacksonville area in Florida. I go to a somewhat small church, but I don't go every Sunday like I should... I try to be as much like Jesus as I can, by helping my parents and people at school. I read the Bible, and pray, but I can never find any Christian friends that like the same stuff as me. So I joined this group in hopes of finding some new friends. I hope you can except how weird I am...

Welcome aboard! Reading the word helps. It will continue to help. With the Lord nothing shall be impossible, it says in the word. And sin can ravage all of us. It does. I know I will struggle with sin until they bury me in the ground. You can fight back - because the Lord is fighting for you and...already won the battle!

We're all a little weird! Christians are a peculiar people

Welcome aboard the group. Hope you get involved in some of the discussions!

It can be hard to find fellow Christian friends. But, the best place to find them - the local church. That can be your hub and base.

Hello,I go by the name Saiyuri and I have been looking for a Christian group that is anime friendly for a very long time.I have been feeling lonely because I only have one Christian friend and everyone else I know is rather anti Christian yet they say they love and care about me..even though im one of them (aka a Christian)

I was saved at the age of 18 and im 24 now,I had always believed in God but it was more of a fear that had kept me away from embracing God.

I hope to make friends with my fellow brothers and sisters here and learn more and more about the Lord God. Thank you for making this group <3

Welcome to the group! Glad to have you with us. If you are looking for others to talk to about your walk with Christ, etc - you can feel free to add me as a Buddy and I'm available to talk. Also, join a local church if you have not already. If you are having a hard time finding one, let me know. I can help you find resources to find good, Bible believing local churches based on whichever denomination you are currently a part of!

When I was about 21 I was a senior in college I was living with three atheists, two who were gay and one who was bi. They and one of their brothers who was an atheist were over one day. I had been saved around 19, my story is one where I fell hard and found Christ there where I was (there's more there, but that's for another time). One day I found myself in the kitchen with all of them, each from different angles seemingly surrounding me and berating me with questions about my faith. All from an atheist perspective. All attacking. I was immature in the faith, not attending a church regularly, not reading my Bible with regularity - but I tried to defend the faith to them. And I did. It didn't change their minds, but they came away a little more respectful of me and my beliefs - even if they hated the faith.

Hello Mdmrn, Thank you for having me, as for trying to find a Church i'm still looking. I live in a small town around 8000 people with around 20 different churches, I have been to 10 but the one church I loved I had been kicked out of as soon as I turned 18. I had been going through a emo/goth kinda faze when it came to clothes and style and im shy so I tended to keep to myself a lot. I'm really not 100% sure why my youth paster kicked me out but when he did he said I had turned 18 and couldn't come anymore yet he had other people in the same youth group that were 20-30 that where my friends. I would like to try to go back to the Church but i'm a bit scared.

I would like to find a pentecostal Church if I could or one like it that way I can have my mum come with me since she is very hard core pentecostal. atm my mum and I read the Bible online and go on Cbn for news.

Just wanted to know but is it a sin to be friends with gay/bi or people that don't worship God?
My mum keep's bringing it up.

I can't say I know what happened at your original church. Praying you & your mother find a church you can attend together.

In my opinion? You need to be friends with people who don't know Christ. Why? How else are they going to be introduced to the Gospel? You do not need to condone their sins. You do not need to encourage it. But you can still love on them where they are. Christ loved on adulterers, tax collectors, sinners - while not condoning their sins. He loved them where they were, but He still told them He disagreed with their lifestyle & pointed them to the Father.

I'm Josh (kind of obvious, right?). It's hard to pinpoint an exact moment where I can say 'That's when I was saved', but I think it was about age of eighteen when I started to really understand what Christ's sacrifice on the cross meant. Other than I'm a work in progress, which I think you can say for anyone else.

Technically I'm a non-Denominational Christian but I'm pretty sure that I'm some kind of Protestant.

I think it's cool that this group exists.

Welcome aboard Joshua. Glad to have you with us. It's hard sometimes to pinpoint the exact moment of salvation. But, more important than that moment is knowing that through the grace of Jesus Christ, you are free!

Hi all! I tried reading everyone's replies...I think I got through most of them

My name is Kim. Currently, I'm a 22 year old attending Iowa State University for computer engineering as well as interning with Rockwell Collins, so I get to see a lot of different cultures and worldviews because of the popularity of ISU here and overseas as well as Rockwell's international business dealings. I plan on moving to Europe when I graduate (hopefully Rockwell will send me there) and I also plan on reading other religious texts, as I believe it is important to understand different worldviews. I'm a mega nerd who loves anime, gaming, and every single one of God's creatures. Seriously. Every single one. (Well, maybe not mosquitoes...) My family currently has two dogs, two cats, a parrot, and my two adorable rats that live with me in Ames. (I thought about getting a snake or spider, but I think my roommate would have killed me!)

Unfortunately, I don't often attend church through the school year - but I keep His word in my heart and try to let His love shine through me and onto others. I'd say I had a shaky start in my faith. I was raised by a Baptist father and a Catholic mother. If you weren't aware, these two Christian faiths often butt heads - at least they did in my household. I didn't understand it much as a child, but as I grew older I drifted away from faith, as it caused my parents so many problems (still does, actually). I still falter every once and a while, but there are people in my life who are always there to pull me back in. And if that doesn't work, God always seems to find me somehow. It's been almost a year now since my 19 year old friend drove head-on into oncoming highway traffic and was taken off life support soon after. I think that major event in my life really opened my eyes to how short life can be. Her photo on my wall encourages me every day to live life to the fullest.

Welcome to the group!

Yea, there's a lot of replies in here, which can be encouraging!

Yea, Baptist & Catholic can but heads - often. There are a lot of fundamental differences in their specific theology and the most basic being their views on baptism. For Catholics, it's a sacrament applied to infants to cleanse them of original sin. For Baptists, it's an outward and public expression of faith done by full immersion by those old enough to have accepted Christ personally. There are more differences even in baptism alone which could fill up a lot of space, but I'll stop there

I hope you find a good church near where you're going to school. I know going to church in college is hard, I know it was for me and so - I didn't. I regret it, though. Having a group of believers out there to help encourage you, help you grow in the Lord - it's a blessing.

Hello, I am Ikusa. I am a girl who was born in Japan, but my family moved to USA cause apparently Japan was not conservative enough for Christians in their perspective. I was once a Jehovah's witness, but God brought me out of the darkness I've been in since I was born. I now am 19 years old, thanks to God, I was able to escape this poisonous form of "christianity" my parents made me live by, and find real Christianity, the one in which the Lord loves us. When I was 18, I moved out, and cut my ties with my family because they tried to stop me from wanting to practice a different form of Christianity. After that, God brought me to a church, a church where people believe God loves them and that they can still go to Heaven. God told me to take a risk that had little to no chance of working, but I took that risk, and here I am a year later, living in a 8-bedroom mansion that has 6K square feet with my two new best friends, Mika and Sasaki. I plan to make a youtube channel with Mika and Sasaki, we're striving to become not only the most popular channel on youtube, but hopefully going to spread Christianity while we are at it!
