There's way more than that on Canadian Netflix. This is the full catalog atm:

I thought that list provided by the third party site was suspiciously short. Thanks for providing a canon list.

Hulu has everything CR can't get so netflix's anime selection is obsolete.

They are severely lacking in quantity. I just signed up for Crunchyroll today due to them only having a percentage of episodes. I just finished episodes 1 - 99 of Hunter X Hunter, and that is where it ends. I don't think they are too concerned with Anime, considering there are services such as Crunchyroll, and FUNimation. They seem to be focusing on Netflix originals. I'm also speaking on the Canadian Netflix, which I assume is far worse than that of the U.S.

So I can view Knights of Sidonia on Hulu?

That's before we even start mentioning the series no one has.

There's also the fact that if a series was on both Netflix and Hulu, anyone in their right mind would prefer to watch it on Netflix (due to the complete lack of ads).

Also, HD video. The ads I could maybe tolerate if it had HD video, but SD video and ads is just so wrong for a native HD show.

If you pay for Hulu Plus most newer anime has HD (although it may still be only be 720p). That was my experience the last time I used a trial there, which was perhaps 2-3 years ago.

I didn't find the experience worth paying for. At least at the time, their Roku app was wonky (using FF/RW would normally result in the app becoming very slow to respond, if not freezing up entirely), so I ended up finishing the trail viewing on my computer. That eliminated one of the reasons for paying for Hulu Plus (getting access on devices), and remainder (720p and supposedly fewer ads) wasn't enough to justify the monthly cost.

Hulu is pretty much my last stop for anime. With CR, Funimation, and TAN memberships, most of what is left are shows exclusive to Viz and a small number of other titles.

I only got 720p video for Viz Media anime when I tried Hulu Plus a few months ago. Anything new I tried from FUNimation or Sentai was 480p max. I agree TAN would be a better deal than Hulu Plus for Sentai anime. How's TAN's device support or is it all website only? I get TAN shows on demand via cable provider free, but they are all in SD quality for new shows.

For Canada, supposedly just this:

true...chaos;head is one of the good ones. I don't see too many people interested in it, though; it's actually incredible.

It's okay. I did watch Psycho Pass on there which i had been meaning to watch for a while now. Most of it is already on CR though or just old enough that i already saw it before. Not that i have Netflix just to watch Anime it's just nice to have for TV shows where i can watch them in bulk instead of one a week or watch a Movie when I'm bored. The UK Anime selection on there is pretty poor padded out with American Pseudo Anime like RWBY.

The selections are good enough to introduce people into anime and hopefully get some of them hooked.

Netflix's selection seems to have grown (still pretty small though) over the last 6 to 9 months. They have been added new shows faster lately. There were 2014 shows on Netflix in 2014, I did not really pay too much attention to it before but I think that is new for them. I have Hulu Plus, Netflix and Crunchroll subs and I would almost never even think to search for an anime that I could not find on CR or Hulu on Netflix before, but recently I have found shows that I could not find on the other two. Also, Netflix has more dubs. I prefer subs over dubs but sometimes for action shows I prefer to keep my eyes on the action instead of reading.
