E1

First impressions - fairy tale aura, two interesting characters, and some great lines - a promising start for my shoujo fix. It does bring to mind that I can't recall another proper shoujo show of this season

It was quite nice to see the cliched hair cut plot device cast away almost nonchalantly, complete with an apology from the assailant.

I can hear Hatoko's voice from "When Supernatural Battles..." voice at times in Shirayuki, which made me smile
She's also possibly one of the few characters that, to me, still look cute after transitioning from long to short.

I do agree with the posters before me that they do look on the younger side in the anime - it would have been nice to have slightly older characters to make the series stand out just a little bit more.

Regardless, I am looking forward to the the next episode!

Enjoyed that a lot more than I thought I would. Mostly because I kept being reminded of Princess Bride while watching it. XD

Not sure what I'll think of it going on, though if it keeps up with the sort of half parody of various fairy tales, I'll at least be amused.

Good stuff so far. Shirayuki is shaping up to be a enjoyable character and Zen isn't the cocky arrogant ass that seems to be every main male character this season. I'll definitely be watching next week.

Ladies and gentlemen, the anime of the devil.

Seriously though, it looks good so far. Nothing special, but it's not like every series have to be.

Been looking forward to this show since I first heard about it many moons ago. Love the manga and the first episode reminds me of how the manga swept me off my feet after reading the first chapter.

Although I'm still dissatisfied with the character art (why so derpy, Mitsuhide!!?), I have to admit this was a great first-episode adaption. Music was fitting. Background art was lovely. Animation was smooth. Pacing was good. With it being 2 cours, I think it would be good if they kept a general 1-2 chapters per episode kind of format, but we'll see. With some careful viewing I did notice that the characters resembled their manga selves much more in certain shots (except Mitsuhide, who's 100% derp the whole time), so here's hoping this will improve as the animators get used to drawing them.

And despite my complaints, even a stickler like me has to admit that this anime-only shot of Zen is totally adorable:

Episode 1

Very fairy tale like atmosphere (though the english name is Snow White with the Red Hair so makes sense).

This show seems full of potential,I just hope it doesn't waste it's potential like Akatsuki no Yona where it became a show about a girl building up a male harem (I know there was more to Yona then that but basically what it felt like).

Fairy tale setting is a nice change of pace from the other shows I've started this season.

As others have said it has potential, but it doesn't have to be the next big thing.

It's setting up to be a great show. The story seems to be moving and the artwork is excellente. I like the large shots.

EP 1 "Encounter--- Changing the Color of Fate"

One thing I can't decicde is the anime very good ot outstanding ! I will have to give a couple of episodes !

WARNING / This is not YONA Yes there are minor thinhs buit liked the Hair , anicent times , but just a different story !

The animation is spectular! Shirayuki is very good as a herbalist which proves useful later! I like how she actually compounds medicines ! You dont see a pharmacy a mortar and pestal nowadays on tate occasions . There are pharmacies that specialized doing it!

I like the interactions between the cast! Cant wait for more

Episode 1: Encounter; Changing The Color of Fate

Jumped into this knowing practically nothing and I like what I see so far. Good spotlight on the main heroine, Shirayuki, and it looks great from what I can tell.

The animation is pretty, love the old school setting, I don't know why though, but I was getting Beauty and The Beast vibes, not Snow White vibes. However, I am not complaining, I enjoyed it very much.

Love the interactions between the characters so far, love the fairy tale like setting and how they introduced everything so far. Also, I love how I can still hear Yukinon's voice in Shirayuki.

Looking forward to more and seeing how things develop between Zen and Shirayuki.

Really strong first episode, but I'm worried about what they're going to do.

In my opinion, the best scene by far is when she "proves" her ointment wasn't poisonous. A very.. traditional fantasy way of doing things. That's what impressed me the most.

Another great scene was one at the very beginning. She's frolicking through the forest and the scene shows some beautiful flowers. Then it moves towards these ugly looking herbs. What a wonderful way to introduce your main character and what a little scene like that does to represent her.
