Just like the title suggests. What passages help you? Comfort you? Guide you?

Any specific passages you would call your favorite? Feel free to share them.

If I were to pick one verse, it'd be Romans 3:23 (All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God). It's a good reminder of our fallen state, our weakness, and the fact that we all need a Savior in Christ Jesus.

Another favorite is Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen." A good reminder - our faith is not always physically visible, but it is real - it does matter, and it's awesome.

How about you?

My favorite verse is Philippians 3:13-15
"13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you."

To me it means that the past is the past. One should not live in the past, but keep on moving forward with life. Never give up and Never back down.

Psalm 119: 115-117

"Depart from me, you evildoers,
For I will keep the commandments of my God!
Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live;
And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
Hold me up, and I shall be safe,
And I shall observe Your statutes continually."

"For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute (1 Corinthians 4:9-10)."

I don't really have a favorite verse or passage per se since everything needs context and there's the danger of going too far with a simple concept. The verses that recur tend to be those that are needed in the moment, such as: ...the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. ~1 Corinthians 1 v25

An excellent point. Every verse needs context.

Example - Philippians 4:13. I love the passage, but I see it brought out of context constantly. It's not the Lord promising to give you super powers or to literally do anything, in context it has a different and I find better meaning

I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that once again you renewed your care for me. You were, in fact, concerned about me but lacked the opportunity to show it. I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.
-Philippians 4:10-13

Paul talking about how he's been in challenging situations, where he's had a lot, or had a little. He's learned to know that whatever circumstance he's in - God is with him, God will be there, and he can get through it. A promise of God to be present. I like that better than a promise that I can do anything.

Isaiah 40:31. "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint."

I like all of the New Testament. But to pick one verse, there's one I have to tell myself all the time:

(...) be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16).

I'm wise as a serpent and harmful as a serpent. Biting my tongue is something I have to do more often. And still, I can't stop thoughts quickly enough...
