What music do you listen to? What are you currently listening to? What are your favorites? Let's talk about music here! Whatever music you wish to talk about

I am more into rock music, but do listen to a little of almost everything. I'm not to big on rap and anything where it consists of a lot of screaming, they just don't appeal to me.
Here is a list of musicians I like
Yuki Kajiura, Beck, Egypt Central, Shinedown SID, Evanescence Journey, The Neighbourhood, Gerry Rafferty, Eri Aoi, Nano, Thousand Foot Krutch, Lisa, Kalafina, Babymetal, Scandal, Ali Project, FLOW, Elvis, Skillet, Vocaloids, Supercell, Five Finger Death Punch, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Bon Jovi, Gene Pitney, Darius Rucker, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Queen, Eli Young Band, Sugarland, Lady Antabellum, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Avenged Sevenfold, and Patsy Cline

Opening and closing anime theme songs actually got me hooked on J-pop about 15 years ago!

Since then, I've come to appreciate music from all around the world, regardless of the language spoken. Because of this, I usually can't play the music I enjoy listening to at work. Narrow-minded, country music / heavy metal / rap "aficionados" will always mutter some obscenity and tell me to, "turn that %$# off!"

I could never understand why people with such a negative outlook on life insist on listening to "music" that only feeds their hate & anger.

Besides J-pop, I also enjoy anything bright, uplifting, and lively - contemporary Christian, smooth jazz, Celtic & Irish, instrumental, some classical, and just about anything from the 80's.

I'm currently on a quest to find all the Vocaloid music and videos I can, since I've only just recently discovered Hatsune Miku!

Edit: I also found a fantastic Japanese band called Goose House. They have a ton of songs they play on Youtube. Here's one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2F1G2r59oZk

I like Goose House. They do the opening theme to Your Lie in April from their first 13 episodes. Good song, like the band.

I listen to a variety of music spanning genres. But, lately, I've mostly been listening to contemporary Christian (especially around my kids), overtly Christian hip hop, country, and some J-Pop.

Favorite Artists: Lecrae, KB, Andy Mineo, Goose House, BABYMETAL, Skillet, Jeremy Camp, tobymac, Social Club, Brad Paisley, Johnny Cash, Coheed and Cambria, Kelly Clarkson, MercyMe, Chris August

I am a huge fan of any genre excluding country as long as it is Christian. I don't hate country, but personally would prefer something else. My favorite band is Emery, I also frequently listen to Family Force 5, Anberlin, August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, Wolves at the Gate, To speak of Wolves, Between the Trees, Red, Skillet, Switchfoot, Relient K, Remedy Drive, House of Heroes, Falling up, and Abandon Kansas. The only thing I listen to outside of Christian would be anime op/end, vocaloids, and music from movies.

I love Skillet, one of my favorites. Switchfoot is pretty good too. Family Force 5, I haven't heard much from them. You listen to any Christian hip hop? Any Lecrae, Mineo, Tedashii, etc? Curious, as I love the stuff.

Yeah I listen to Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee, KJ 5 2 and others, but most of the time it is coupled with bands like Family Force 5 or a compilation like in Flame.

Ahh, fair enough. I listen to quite a bit of it. Rapzilla is kind of my resource for all things Christian hip hop

What's everyone listening to? Feel free to post what you're listening to at this moment!

For me, it's this: Legacy: Game Boy 25th Anniversary. Currently on Track 1. You can download the whole thing for free, it's a cool remix album of classic Game Boy music!

American Pie by Don McLean

Back in the good ol' days when I worked for a cable television company, our whole crew would get together after work at a local hole-in-the-wall nightclub once a week and listen to one of our coworkers perform on stage. He always opened with American Pie, and everyone joined in.

This is one of the memories I like to focus on when I'm having days like I'm having today.

Bubble Dragon by 7bit Hero

It's a song about...Bubble Bobble. They use the general music from the game and tell the story of the game through the lyrics. It's actually rather awesome. Also, a reminder of how dark the actual plot of the game really was!
