Choosing a favorite anime is like choosing...something that is hard to choose.
I want to say that Fate/Zero has to be my favorite....though I do go back and forth with my favorite series. There is one main reason I absolutely love Fate/Zero and that is there was no real clear distinction on who was good and who was evil. Each character had their motives for wanting to win the grail and it never felt like "oh I am good guy" "Oh I am bad guy.". You could argue that some characters had more "Darker" purposes than others, but each character never felt tied to a specific archetype. The story was dark, complex, and mature. It did not contain a lot of the common anime tropes that we see. The art by Ufotable was stunning to look at. The OST was enjoyable to the point where I downloaded both themes to my MP3....I do hope I got them legally as they were from ITunes. Oh and one more very important thing I must mention. Saber is best female anime character.

Realized I never actually answered the question.

My favorite series is Cowboy Bebop. Hands down. That said, I love Trigun and of the current shows on the air, I'm in love with Your Lie in April. It's an emotional gut punch each week, but a good one.

I loved the first half of Blue Exorcist, but once it began to veer away from the manga source the anime suffered greatly. Their attempt to end and tie it up in a knot wasn't great, IMO. I still enjoyed it, but I'm liking the ongoing manga much better. I'd love for them to re-do that show.

Spice and Wolf! I went into the serious thinking it was not a good anime nor worth watching because I thought it was a fanservice anime. I am so glad I was wrong! While the first 2 episodes did have a fairly present fanservice the actually story and plot was amazing. I don't know why but I fell in love with it's economic and currency talk along with the kind of medieval feel. There is a romantic comedy feel to it as well, which in my book makes it a plus, but this also leads to some innuendos. Anyways out of the over 400 anime I have seen this one has stayed my favorite for at least 6 years or so.

Interesting. I have no idea what that is! Is it here on CR? What's it about?

The first season is on Funimation, the second and third season are here. It's about Ginko, a wandering mushi master (mushi-shi), basically, a traveling doctor. Mushi are a life form invisible to most people. They are described as "life in its purest form", and their relationship with humans varies. Some are beneficial, some do not affect us, some are troublemakers. Similar to bacteria and fungi Ginko deals mostly with the troublemakers.

The story takes place in a country very similar to Edo Japan. The scenery is just breathtaking. The soundtrack is soothing. Overall it gives you a nice, lazy feeling. It's a slice of life.

Someone commented on one of the episodes: "Forget the popcorn. Eat natto (with some soy sauce and spicy mustard), white rice, miso soup, and a small grilled fish (not Salmon or Tuna though). The folksy oldschool setting is perfect for eating a folksy oldschool Japanese meal." and it totally makes sense! Put on your yukata, brew some green tea and contemplate.

Just writing this made me want to watch it again. I know what I'll be doing this weekend >w<

Thank you ^u^ I may be bad at explaining, but monsters called Noise are attacking humans and the only people that can kill them are girls who's vocal cords can resonate with ancient relics, letting them control powerful suits of armor and weapons called Symphogear when they sing. I really like all of the music and the way the main character fights X3

Love a few anime. It's impossible to pick just one. I love sailor Moon because it was my first anime. Also log horizon, because of the plot that was really thought out.

I have never seen either of those...

Is it bad that I'm an anime fan who's never seen a single episode of Sailor Moon?
