I'm not a fan of it, but it doesn't quite bother me unless the girls they are sexualizing is someone that looks 13 years old or younger. All that sexualizing lolis really has to go in my opinion.
Truth be told as much as I don't like it, back in the day women (or girls should I say) married men when they were still in their teenage years. Women would get married as early as 14-15 years old and had kids around 16 or 17 while the men were around their early 20s.

Japan is a very conservative (or old school?) to their culture, thus I think they don't see it as that much of a problem. (At least that's what I think, I can't really prove it).

If I had to say something about the girls in anime would be that "anime girls are girls trapped in a woman's body" if that makes any sense.

Usually liberal minded people have no problem with lolis and conservatives are harping up on the industry to ease up on it. There's plenty of conservative Japanese that think this is the worst thing since ebola.

Im on the same page with this guy. I also think that writers in Japan don't give a rats A$$ about what we think so i guess it won't matter that we don't like it. But also if the show was intended for pg 13 audience and say i was 15years old the shows that had fanservice would be pretty bada$$ except for the lolis i still would think thats a no go.

Well... are you confortable with watching the mini-miss election in the US ?

I mean, you are unconfortable watching high school girls in suggestive situations in shows intented for teenage males ?

So I believe you will actively do something about the sexualization of elementary school girls in shows intended for adults, right ?

personally, I'm kinda in the middle of the whole fanservice issue..

I don't mind loli fanservice, and I don't mind the occasional fanservice bit but once fanservice starts becoming more important to the show/manga/whatever than the actual story, it gets annoying to me. there needs to be a good balance. to me, Highschool DXD is a good example of a show/manga/novel that balances the fanservice with the story and characters pretty well. it mixes story with a good amount of fanservice without being overbearing or dumbed down by it.

Personally, I'm okay with fanservice.

As for loli fanservice, I'm okay with it as long as they're actually high school age. Like in your High School DxD example, I assume you mean Koneko. I'm okay with fanservice of her; I know a number of girls who are over 20, and physically, have similar bodies to her. As long as the character's past a puberty age, I'm okay with it; some girls just look really young.

Now Haganai, with it's naked 10-year-old. That was creepy.

i doubt it. however, is it real? weirdly enough i had this discussion with my dad.

im an adult woman. I dont like girl on girl cuz well ... i like the puzzle piece factor in sex. scissors do nothing for me... anyway papa, liked the whole idea of young girls ...

it grossed me out. but really as an artist i wondered ... is that idea of beautiful wrong? should i smack my father and say NO! like a puppy?

whatever, if hes not hurting anyone, which im sure he would not have cuz he was LAW ABIDING, lol then who am i to say daddy the fact you like fake, artistically rendered people better than real ones ... is wrong?

truth is, i understand, i like things that aren't real (dragons, faithful men[totally a joke], women who don't have to shave)l... so did he.

the 'girls' he liked happened to be 2D.

he died in 2013. looking back, id have told him my frowns were because i was unsure, not because he didn't have good taste. purple hair? sure that's cute.

lol

life is short, unless you act on stupid ideas, things are ok. IMO

Its Japan, didn't they just finally ban having child pornography on your computer in the country like last year? Its a cultural thing.
