"Alright, Bell-kun, follow me! It's time for the "Familiar" initiation rite to happen!"
"Yes! I'm going to get stronger!"

The fated meeting of a boy who wants to become an adventurer, and the failed god who doesn't even have a single follower.

This boy's journey as written by the goddess, "Family's Legend" (Familiar's Myth)

I am currently in the process of reading the first light novel. 23 pages in and I can't really make a good assessment, but I am enjoying it.

I can't wait for the anime, as the novel is really good. The girl with the blue hair is Hestia, who

MC is slowly turning into a badass, and we are seeing how much Bell makes Hestia's heart go doki doki. Also people are gonna more than likely hate this guy named Bete when they see the anime. He is scum of course. Gonna read some more later on.

Having read the first book I have no intention to keep on reading, I also hope that this doesn't get an anime as I don't see it doing anything, anything at all what would make it in any way outstanding. With a title like this and a protagonist who wants to go adventuring to find himself a lady you'd expect that this guy would be more aware of all that love and women stuff, nope, dense moron #westoppedcountingaeonsago.
The setting itself is also lacking, some ideas could be interessting but nothing of it showed in the first book; also too much explanation, way too much, why not have a fantasy where stuff is.... fantastic? It felt like the author wanted to write a fantasy but was stuck with RPGs too much.
Also I wish the godness would be the protagonist as she is less bland and acutally is part of interessting stuff going on, while she gets a fair amount of focus and pov, I really have trouble seeing why he does get any, like I said, he's just another dense moron. Nothing to say of the over attrachtive women interessted in him, too bad none of them ever make a direct move that can't be either missed nor misinterpreted, but hey, staple of spineless, run of the mill, we are not allowed to violate the strict formula harems.
While I'd be interessted in seeing more antics of the gods, having to read through tons of pages of the protagonist being a clueless idiot dropping info dumb about the dungeons and monsters just don't feel like they'd be worth it.

So you'd rather everything be copy and pasted and the same? No thanks. Personally I haven't really found much fault in it and am eagerly awaiting the anime and the other volumes of the light novel. I find the main characters enjoyable and the action thats there is presented well. I like the setting and the fact that the author goes to great lengths to describe the world around him. Last thing I want is another dull dnd fantasy like Lord of the rings. Also the protagonist is not as dull as you think. Does Hestia love him? Yes. Does he love Hestia? Not in that sense.

I don't get the feeling that you have actually read what I have written, but okay.

Also you are going to love the last part of the book, tons of action, a little bit less info dump-y and a little bit more action, I enjoyed that too.

The part with the silverback? On it atm. I loved the Hestia date part.

Also its just the first LN. Most first volumes are there to setup the story. I do want to see the mc be a little less dense. I dont want to feel like i am reading Nisekoi.

I finished volume 1. That last fight was pretty intense. Lsst page was full of Winstia. Seriously, I am shipping Bell and Hestia. Hopefully the mc gets less dense.

By any chance are you new to the harem genre? There is a reason why I have such a big problem with it. He won't wise up anytime soon.
