Hey guys. So in the past couple months I have been seeing some Crunchyroll ads around the web. The two sites that come to mind are Youtube and this random website called goalsarena.org where I watch soccer highlights from Europe every weekend. Besides being ecstatic whenever I see one, a couple questions come to mind.

1. Do you guys run into CR ads/commercials too?I If so where? (I realize this doesn't apply to adblock users.)

2. Are the ads I see influenced by what websites I go to online? For example because I go on Crunchyroll and I used to go on Kissanime and kissmanga a lot, does that mean that I see anime ads for that reason. I think it might be because I also see soccer ads a lot on youtube, and I go on a lot of various soccer websites.

Thanks!

Many websites give your pc cookies (small bits of information) that interacts with other sites, usually one of these cookies recommends what advertisements the site you visit should put up. So Yes, sites you visit frequently influence what advertisements you see.

there are two solutions, if you want this problem to cease

Long-term solution: Get an ad blocker
Short Term Solution: Clear your browsing history (do it through internet options/explorer as well)

Also, I recommend clearing your history either choice. Helps your internet run smoothly and is safer.

Ad blocker. Only CR ads I've seen were on Crunchyroll.

Yeah I used to be an adblocker for almost a couple years, but I deleted it ca couple months ago because I felt mixed emotions about it. Still not sure if I made the right decision

I got tired of the pop up ads that need to be closed before returning to site. the second you click that X button it goes to that site. that's a big no-no for me. I swear if I see one more Geico ad I'm going to flip my shit

I see the ads, but rarely. I use an adblocker since all the ads do are clog my screen. I've never clicked on an ad so me blocking them isn't going to hurt their revenue from them any.

If this bothers you, I recommend tweaking your browser setting to either block sites from enabling cookies or delete all cookies after you exit your browser.

You keep seeing them because you get ads that are tailored to you.Say you buy a Gillete product online, you'll see Gillette related ads around, they could be substitute or complimentary to what you're into. It's kind of for you to be a recurring customer and don't think it attracts new. Like others have recommended, get adblock or delete your cookies when you exist

I do and it does me proud seeing them promote Hunter x Hunter front and center.
