Does anyone know of any shows with gay characters? Like a kind of gay love story?

Mirage of Blaze and Loveless are the only two that I have seen.
It's been a long time but I don't think either are pornographic.

Akame ga kill has one.

Also there are some shonen ai anime that aren't on this site, but it's against the rules to say another sites name.

Aoi Hana (Sweet Blue Flowers) - it's a simple slice-of-life where the main characters are a teenage lesbian and her best friend from kindergarten who she lost contact with after moving to a different town.

Hourou Musuko (Wandering Son) - one main character is a boy who wants to be a girl the other is a girl who wants to be a boy. For secondary characters there's a transwoman and a gay boy, and I think one of the others is bi but nothing is ever stated one way or the other. The only thing is that the anime covers a fraction of the manga and it just jumps right in with very little backstory so the first several episodes are really rough. It's available here on Crunchyroll, too.

Revolutionary Girl Utena (and the move, Adolescence of Utena) - an oldy but a goody, though there's a ton of symbolism so it can get really dense or strange at times. The main character decided that she would become a prince and help princesses because when she was little a prince saved her when she was utterly depressed. She gets sucked into a set of duels to own the Rose Bride and to revolutionize the world.

Noir - another older one and while nothing explicit is said about the two main characters, they're obviously more than just friends.

Maria-sama ga Miteru - it's Class S, but there are some gay characters who are out and one couple that's heavily implied. That art style can be off-putting and the first three openings are cringe-worthy, but it's good.

Read or Die and Read or Die the TV (R.O.D. and R.O.D. the TV, respectively) - no characters that are explicitly gay, but, well, there's a ton of (mutual) affection and chemistry between much of the cast. R.O.D. the TV is also on Crunchyroll.

Those are the good ones off the top of my head (which aren't above PG-13), though aside from Wandering Son they're about women so if you meant gay as in gay men instead of gay in general they may not be what you're looking for.

Gravitation in class by itself if writer/creator isn't gay did good job expressing some inner-self

Junjou Romantica, Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi and DRAMAtical Murder for gay men

Strawberry Panic, Akuma No Riddle and Revolutionary Girl Utena for lesbians. There's implied girl love in Mai-Hime, Mai-Otome and Ga rei Zero.
