The most memorable thing I recall from college instruction dates back almost 50 years ago during my first time through. It was presented as an ag engineering conundrum. Our course instructor appeared before us and recalled an event that occurred 36 years previous. The Ag Engineering class of '32 was presented with the question "if a dairy cow is turned upside down will it still produce milk?"

Over the course of the semester that class of '32 pondered the question and proceeded to design, test, develop a contraption that could positively handle a large animal humanely. The answer they found to that hypothetical was "Yes".

Over time I learned other life lessons via teaching or basic learning from past mistakes. But this dairy cow scenario has stuck in my mind for decades; it's just that over the top as an absurdity.

Psychology is cool, btw. That's what I studied the 3rd time through college trying to re-invent myself. Especially the information gleaned at grad level re testing.....very instructive analyzing people and their intention(s). Would've become very useful for practical application when dating 20 years previous. Oh, well.

I personally believe that being interested in the subject can help but then there's also doing it in repetition to learn naturally as well as the way/ how you are taught what ever it is that you are learning. also everyone learns different and at different paces.

I enjoy challenges, otherwise I get bored easily.

I make flashcards for everything, its the most effective tool I use, but be sure if you use that method split the cards in half that way you can save some trees and money.
