I've been really into romance anime lately, since I wanted a change of pace from straight action.

I really like:

Kimi ni Todoke - It's about a girl who is really awkward at school, has no friends because they think she is scary because of her appearance, they think she communicates with ghosts, but she really wants to make friends and is really positive and sweet. Popular guy becomes friends with her and she opens up more to others. It's a really great show, super funny, and I'm not ashamed to say I cried several times, both from happiness and sadness. I rewatch this one over and over cause I love it so much.

Say I Love You - This anime is very similar to Kimi ni Todoke, except the main character in this anime is a little tsundere and bitter from being betrayed by her friends in the past, so she becomes a loner. Same concept really, really funny, some tearjerking moments as well.

Love, Chunibyo and other Delusions - This is about a guy in high school who tries to remake his image, cause he pretended he was a demon lord in middle school and wants to act more mature in high school. The problem is his neighbor knows about his past, and is as delusional as he was, and ends up in his class.

This is an amazing anime. The main female lead Rikka is absolutely hilarious. This anime is easily one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. The first half of the series will have you laughing your ass off, and as the series reaches the second half and you find out why Rikka acts the way she does, it gets a lot more serious and you get some crazy tearjerking moments.

These 3 I definitely recommend. there's a bunch more but it will turn into a novel if I keep going. If you need more I'll provide some later.

About the Show

Don't let the cover of it fool you. The characters will age and plot will darken.
