This is a pretty common question, I added a section just for it to /forumtopic-806747/quick-answers-for-common-questions a little while back.

It boils down to - yes, we all hate it. But the publishers provide the streams they provide, and they try to make money with uncensored physical media releases, rather than uncensored online streaming. Terraformars gives me hope that this attitude is changing, though.

I hope your right cuz it's in the way and can possibly ruin the anime depending on how much is censored

I used to dislike it, and sometimes its over the top and you have no idea what is going on... but after a while i forgot about it.

Not to mention if it's done right it actually adds to the show. Some censors are hilarious.

the level that tokyo ghoul was censored i dropped the series till blu ray now the second season has the same issue once again a agonizing wait for bd anytime i even see a censorship that's obvious enough to break my immersion i wait for bd. That is just unacceptable i own tokyo ghoul on bd now and now the series is 500000 times better and i can understand whats happening and get immersed

I don't really care. Then again what my imagination produces is probably more gory and gruesome than whatever they could animate.

The funniest censorship in shows to me was http://www.crunchyroll.com/demon-king-daimao as they did it with humour.

Provided the censorship is neither disruptive to the work's substantial quality (storytelling, animation, illustration, and so on) it's fine. If you're putting a big triangle across 1/3 of the screen for a substantial amount of every single episode not only am I not going to buy your DVD/BD, I'm not even going to watch your stream. You'll get the double bird for not respecting me as a thinking human being and I'll move on.
