A pin I don't mind. I get freaked out by things like apple pay and swipe and pay chips, which, unfortunately, would be EXTREMELY easy to steal the information from and commit fraud.

Well then as the article states they will be held liable if any fraud is going on. I mean if the part of the system that has the lowest tech holds the liability for the fraud. Gonna be a big incentive for people to upgrade.


What the year old article fails to mention about the liability shift is the ultimate target for it: YOU.

Chip 'n PIN isn't invincible and when fraud does occur, it's the consumer left holding the bag.
