What sucks about where you live?
Posted 2/26/15 , edited 2/27/15
Fellow people of Chruchyroll, I haven't been on in a while. So... I'm gonna make up for that. What sucks about living where you live?

Louisiana:
Hurricanes.
School uniforms. (Ugh)
Mosquitos will be the death of me...
No pretty beaches.
The weather hates us.

The South:
It gets WAY too hot down here. Especially in the summer.
It never snows.
What you would call "red-necks." They're usually just called "country". Not that that sounds any better.
Racism. (ugh)
Homophobia. (ugh)
Again, hurricanes.

'Murica:
(You know it's true) Stupid politicians.
Idiots in charge.
Obnoxious-yolo/swag-obsessed-freaks.
Bullies are so freaking common in schools it's like a disease.
The economy...
The stereotypes about us.

Yup.

Sacramento?

No where fun to go to. All we have are governmental buildings and stuff like that. We do form some pretty awesome rock bands like Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds, and Deftones (which was featured in Dragon Ball Z movies )

21 years here has made me blind to a lot of its bad, but overall I think New York City is "alright" depending on who you are and where you are, and what time you're there.

Every winter gets stronger though. And the summers are hot as hell.

Definitely not exclusive to where I live, but there are gangs and innocent people getting shot. Not necessarily on my street but definitely within a 20 minute car drive radius.

Students have little to no respect for their teachers and other adults.

Young adults lack maturity and constantly throw out derogatory and politically incorrect terms.

Most miserable city in 2011 lol.

Luckily, I surround myself with good people and never find myself in troubling situations.

The apartments I live in...

The floors squeak so my neighbors can hear me and I can hear them.
Also, I am able to hear my neighbor's business ... use imagination!

Can't move from the apartments right now, but let's just say, I keep my ear-buds handy and make sure I am listening to music!

The places where I thought the most educated, the ones that "know better," are the ones that commit more petty, disgusting actions.

I only got a peace of mind surprisingly in a federal court, while serving as one of the jurors.

Florida. A LOT of bad drivers, and tourists visiting the beaches which make driving really dangerous. No complaints aside from that.

Driven there damn snowbirds. No one signals and everyone does twenty over the limit and rides your ass. Went from Key West to Jensen Beach in one go I think I swapped out with the other driver in West Palm I was toast after going through Miami. I drive a lot and I'm used to driving distance but man they really have issues there. I thought the imports in Washington were bad.

what's wrong with being "country" or what "they" would call "rednecks"?

Nor is everyone in the south racist or homophobic.

Only thing I agree with in that post is the hurricanes. I chose to live here so I like the hot weather and the no snow (though we get a tiny bit almost every year >.>). Even hurricanes are kinda cool, if scary and destructive.

Minnesota. My complaint is the dark bitter winters we get here. This winter hasn't been the worst but its been in the negatives lately. Other then the cold I'd have to say the mosquitoes are the worst thing about the warmer months especially if your up north in the Boundary Waters(or camping in the woods). But all an all Minnesota has a lot to do indoors and outdoors so I can't complain much!
